If, say, I early expand and by the time my nexus finishes i have exactly 16 probes mining. Is it relevant whether I transfer workers or produce from both nexi and rally to the new expo?

If you only have 2 probes per mineral patch then there's very little to gain (income) and a lot to lose (lost mining time while running)

Hi,
Is it possible to change the default color in matchmaking to something other than red/blue/green? I know in the past it wasn't possible. I want to be able to change the default color to something more appealing to myself.
Can I go into the starcraft settings outside of the game to change the preset colors? Even if this is only viewable on my own game.

A question about the in game clock.
If I make a custom game on "faster" speed and bring it down to "slower" once the game starts, my first rax starts at let's say 41 "seconds" in. This is the timing I hopefully can also hit when playing on ladder and so on, and all is well.
However, if I create a custom game with PRESELECTED "slower", my first rax starts at 1 min 35 seconds. Is there some reason for WANTING the clock to behave this way? Is there some technical reason for it I'm not seeing? Or is it just a bug?
Sometimes I just love to play extra slow to have time to really appreciate my own dumb builds (or micro like a god), and if I do this with a friend vs 2 AI I don't even know if we CAN get the "correct" timer except at full speed, which is kind of frustrating.

It's just Blizzard being dumb about anything to do with time. I mean, they still haven't made APM correlate to actual time yet.

Is LotV worth buying? I would have to convert my gaming lappy from Ubuntu to Windows just to get some video games on it. A lot of my time, money & planning is going to my car or my bike these days

I have never played any RTS games before and I got LOTV a few weeks ago, but I haven't been playing it before now. I have almost finished the campaign on normal and I'm doing some bot matches to get a feel for the difference between the single player and the campaign. I'm wondering about playing ladder games. I'm not at all familiar with the all the hotkeys, especially when it comes to buildings, I'm still mouse-overing to see what a certain building does. I did the calibration bot matches and the game placed me against easy AI, which I feel like I can beat more often than not with my ridic mass stalker strat. I realize that I need more than mass stalkers on the ladder. Should I keep playing bot matches until I got the hotkeys down before I hop on the ladder? I'm not afraid of getting into bronze, I just want to be able to play without losing more than 50-55% (to start with). Should I stick to bots for now if I want to immediately reach my goal of being competitive in bronze?

i don't have enough hands to use forcefield, storm, blink, disruptor, prysm, adept. Why toss have to manage so different units during engage ??
im thinking on switching to Zerg, seem they have very expefic casters in the game... every single unit on Protoss has an ability.

hey guys, i'm getting game crash on load due to "core access permission error". Anyone know what's the deal here? I browsed through bnet forums and one of solutions was "scan & repair" which did nothing for me. The only other solution suggested there was to reinstall the game or even format hdd. So I tried reinstall as well, took me another day since I don't have that fast internet. Also, I'm not gonna certainly format hdd ever in order to play the game, so is there anything possible for me to do in order to play the game?

Man I've been trying to beat the Brutal Salvation last mission for hours.
I saw some people did it on YT but I skipped around so maybe I'm missing something, but how the fuck.
Everytime I get to about 88% or 98% (9s and 8s look the same) when the massive protoss attacks from all angles, I just get rekt.
Their builds are like mass voids and cyber walls + canons everywhere and a few collosus. The protoss waves just smash through this in seconds. The rest of the map is super easy.

Void rays are the key. Create a lot of them, upgrade them and put a lot of canons on the entrances.

So basically what I figured out is that is that the only hard part is the final golden armada ground+air attack. And it's mainly the immortals that do you in.
I also realized that of the 20 attempts I was dying 20 sec before the map ends every time. So I just pulled workers to spam nexus and cores and pylons to buy time. And used the voids to pick off immortals that made it to the front of thenkeystone. While the goons wall the rest of the shit out.
