Thanks to Reddit sleuths, everyone can try the LotV test maps by following instructions here.

Note: This is not a beta key, it is simply access to Vs. AI and a Unit Tester. I have no idea how cool with this Blizzard is or is not, use at your own risk.

I was downloading fine until it stuck at the middle. All i get is Initializing now when pause/play, did Blizzard maybe block it now? :C can any1 confirm?

On the adept, I guess it was predictable that the ability would require a TC research tho.

Man, check my post on previous page. it still downloads on background. Just check lotv folder size from time to time.

Yeah, full size is like 6.5 GB or something. Regular SC2:HotS is like 15 GB, but ~7.5 of that is in Campaigns, which are not included in the beta.

Seems something going wrong for me and other guy above. It downloaded 6.26 Gb and still staying at "Initializing" stage (i.e. at half of red bar)

Upgrade for Adept available at Twilight Council is referenced as "LearnAdeptKillBounce" in the gamedata xmls. Also referenced is another upgrade I haven't heard of before: "LearnImmortalRevive". Other stuff is in there like Hydra speed, immortal barrier, flying locusts, etc but we knew about those.

They added the data for several missing SC1 units: Scout, Arbiter, Corsair, Queen (renamed "Brood Queen"), Defiler, Devourer, and Guardian. They added all of the abilities too: Dark Swarm, Consume, Ensnare, Disruption Web, Stasis Field, Recall, etc.

Should be a nice update for any SC2 BW recreations to have official unit data/ability data for those units now.

AdeptKillBounce is probably the Mutalisk-like bounce attack that was mentioned in the IGN article. The unit itself does seem kinda fragile though.

HotS already had Queen, Devourer, and Guardian models in the game, plus the Scout from WoL. Adding the complete stats and abilities sounds great. Maybe they'll include them in the campaign or in the co-op game mode.

Is the Reaver the only unit from SC1 without an official model/unit data/ability data yet then? Or did they add him at some point and I didn't notice?

I had a silly idea earlier today that when an Immortal dies, its turret pops off and it continues on as a Dragoon.

I don't think the Reaver has been in SC2 since the WoL early alpha. The only files I remember seeing are a few residual icons and wireframes that had been datamined out along with a lot of other cut content.

Immortal Revive is "Immortal revives 30 seconds after death. 3 min cooldown."

Could be something they were just testing that they just didn't bother to remove data for, though. It isn't necessarily ingame.

Truly immortal. That indeed sounds stupid and is probably something they played with before deciding it was silly
