Hello, as a heads up I'm not here to give you drama, burn bridges or write 17 pages about why I left the team (I don't have enough memes for that). I will just tell you what I feel. Last week I told the team that I wanted to leave, we decided to play together this week, but they will be playing with someone else for the rest of the split. There were a lot of different reasons for the decision, but most important to me was the way our communication works and that not everyone is on the same page when it comes to work ethic. We did not have a designated shotcaller and our voice comms could get really messy. It seemed like it's too hard to fix some of our problems without proper communication. I have always been a very competitive player and train 12-14 hours a day because I strive to be the best. I think I have grown a lot as a player and shotcaller and even became known for playing off-meta champs however I don't feel like I can show my fans what I'm capable of in UOL. Highlight of my career so far is getting 2nd place in Spring Split and am very thankful for my time with these amazing people with which I created a lot of great memories and had great times with. I will continue to put in the same effort I have always put in because I still want to play in the LCS and might even consider role swapping because I've played many different roles in the competitive scene before. The past 10 months with UOL have been amazing, I love the guys and have many great memories. We went from being challenger team to taking second in our first split and I will never forget this journey. Cheers.

He sounds like Forgiven, does it mean UoL is going to crash and burn (like SK) after he leaves?

Pretty random to leave the team during the 7th week of LCS, with 3 weeks to go before playoffs. Either things are really bad right now and he sees no hope for UOL in the playoffs or Kikis lost his passion for the game overnight

I am just glad that Dan is supposed to replace him and not Obvious or Kirei. Because I dont want to see more promising challenger teams be destroyed because of problems within LCS teams.
The timing of this move from Kikis is weird indeed though. Usually you wait until the end of the split to look for a new team if you are not content with your current one.

Unless he has another offer already (illegal and all, but still), I don't see the point. Just finish the split. if you beat GMB and GIA for 4th place and one of H2K/OG has to cannibalize each other in the semifinals you might get a decent playoff run anyway, and that'll look better to future teams than bailing near the end of the season.

UOL also still had a legit chance to go to worlds because of all the points from spring split. Even if they were not doing that well. Now with this change they are probably done though.

Yeah, UoL could have gotten as low as fourth, and, with the right placings otherwise (e.g. Fnatic taking first, H2K second, Origen third), they would have easily secured a Worlds spot. So, weird timing, to be sure. Especially considering that their 5-7 mark through week 6 was not markedly worse than their 9-9 record last split that turned into a finals appearance.

Maybe there are other issues that we don't know about Sad to hear though. I also wonder why not leave after the split, we're halfway through

Pretty weird timing, and sad to see Kikis and UoL part ways They are my second favourite team after fnatic, hope they can still make it to World

well fuck me, weird timing and wrong member! as stupid as it sounds coming from a fan, i hope UoL does not "luck" into worlds with a patchworklineup and then gets destroyed... then i would rather have FNC H2K and Origen

Ok guys lets speculate where he has an offer from. Because otherwise this make little sense.
I am saying its C9 Kikis. :D The timing would fit, and they are probably desperate enough atm to make an offer mid season.

   CLG, logically.
But Counter Logically, CLG will stick with Xmithie instead.

Xmithie fits right in at CLG so doubt he'll be leaving anytime soon. Have you SEEN how he teamfights? lololol
Super weird timing. Is kikis better than Loulex?

this is weird because he could go to worlds in a few weeks and make a few bucks then go somewhere else. At least he had a good chance for worlds.

Considering he said he loved the guys you would think they would try to sort out the problems in the team after a losing streak. He rather high tail it so something tells me it's not as genuine as he would make it appear to be.

It's a pretty nonsensical decision which makes me think that we know very little about the reasoning.
It can't be just Kikis going "I can't carry these shitters". Trouble in paradise?

Since the only thing he mentioned was work ethic I'm guessing it's more like "Vardags is awful and doesn't bother even practicing solo so kick him or I'm out"

Perhaps he wanted to leave earlier and stayed so long only for "let's try to fix everything" reason.
Also perhaps the mood in the team went so much downhill that him staying for the rest of the season would mean burning bridges.

aww... another team of friends separates T,T (or so UOL in my imagination, group of friends like old C9) really wonder why he doesnt finish up the split, but good luck for Kikis and UOL

Jacob Brayll seems pretty adamant it's not happening.
