Not to mention that there's so many ways to escape/ignore/cleanse soft CC like Ashe has (which is what she is supposed to be able to use to kite and keep herself alive) that the moment someone gets onto her she's probably dead unless she gets peel from the jungler/support.

yea solo queue players really have no clue how/why/when to peel vs. when to dive the enemy adc, it's pretty rough to try and force that pick right now I think

I was in a game today where the Nasus had crazy farm and my team was mindful enough to bait out his ult and just kite around until it was over, which was the only way we could win fights. Really further highlighted how badly soloq goes because people can't put aside egos sometimes.

In other words, mobility creep on everything else has led everyone to be bad about their positioning during teamfights and are punished much more easily on a champion like Ashe throughout the mid-late game.

I don't think "mobility creep" is an issue here Kog, MF and Varus have been played in highlevel matches quite regularly at certain times. Jinx' mobility buff is strong but not exactly to dodge initiation.

The vast majority of champions and builds don't directly deal with the perma slow of Ashe. Also her arrow is an initiation tool and not a kiting tool "to keep her alive". It is most effective at semi-long range where you get the additional CC duration and with your allies near enough to follow up or just as a follow up initiation for other CC. Forcing opponents to itemize against Arrow is a good thing and not a bad one since it cuts into scaling / other utility.

The reason Ashe was picked less and less was mainly because of the abundant adc options which have a stronger laneing phase. The sole exception to this might be Kog who has a similarly weak laneing but scales so well that teams tend to pick around him. With her laneing, scaling and mana consumption being better now I can see her picked up more often again.

Varus and Kog have insanely strong long range poke. Kog has the added benefit of insane range. JuggerAshe could work too as well though, also Kog's "weak" lane is a myth. He maybe loses out on like 10 cs in lane, but the second he gets triforce he outduels most adc's.

I also think she has a lot more damage now than she did before.

The Q steroid is huuuuge.

Protip; skip LW on Ashe. Get Black Cleaver. She stacks it nigh instantly with Q-auto's, and you get 400 HP plus 20% CDR.

Only thing to note is you also have to wait 700 gold for your armor shred power spike, and you do less damage during the buildup. Only time I'd get LW over BC on Ashe is it I really needed to get armor pen for a big win or lose fight.

Losing 5%+ armor pen while spending 700 gold more seems like a bad trade for usually-unnecessary health and 20% CDR. LW and a Vamp scepter is 10 more AD, 5% more armor pen, and similar amounts of health in extended fights in a best case scenario for Cleaver and also gets you on your way to BT.

I don't like new BC on anybody but as a supplement to bruisers or a sole damage item on certain tanks. Maybe niche use on certain ADCs if you're really concerned some assassin is going to kill you.

Don't count it out imo. BC+BT shield is a significant amount of increased beef, not to mention the huge chunk of MR from QSS is going to make you pretty tanky against magic damage. Pretty much, if the 400 hp is a breakpoint difference between you being dead and you being somewhat alive, then it's better to go BC over LW.

Tiny amount of interesting stuff in these 3 questions that were answered. Riot said they aim to balance for Plat and above and aren't really interested in applying tiny buffs to underused but otherwise fine champs to get them some exposure because it's too risky. I find that last point a bit sad.

Ugh. This is why I dislike 10 team League. Either you get LPLitis of way too many games or you get single round robin.

We did this song and dance before with MF when the first version came out when she would try to auto stack it on people with her ult, but now the buildpath is even more anti-carry friendly. I guess it's alright is you've got solid damage in other positions to take advantage of Volley poke, but in most comps you're just putting tooo much effort into utility.

There is a slight difference in that Volley + Focus will stack it all the way in one go, versus standing still and hoping people will sit in your ult.

However, I don't see Ashe getting BC outside of a double AD comp.

I get same exp for a 20 min surrender in summoners rift as 15 min surrender in twisted treeline.
also the MMR works a bit differently because my normals MMR puts me against plat/diamond but on twisted treeline i'm still against actual noobies for some reason even after 40 games.

dunno if this is common knowledge but it was news to me

tt normal games or bot games? I had heard about the bot games being same exp (with that limit on how many you can play within a certain amount of time)
