It was more like 2 years. Basically from pre s2 world champs to right before s4 champs.
The thresh problem is that he actually needs to lose every 2v2 badly (even an all in against sona) to balance his gank support, gank denial, pick potential, and anti-pick. And riot won't do that. His kit is suited for a niche pick, but his numbers continue to allow him to be a generalist.
Like if they made Ashe's E into a high base damage, ad scaling, nuke, but didn't change anything else.
Yea, if you're good, thresh is, imo the best support. He plays into anything, builds well in many ways. Doesn't lose many matchups, can peel and pick depending on what is needed most etc.
Janna loses too many matchups and isn't able to be aggressive in ways that thresh is unless she gets really far ahead.

I'am a big fan of his videos and this one was just hilarious. What he says is true: This community has been held back by TL for no good reasons. We had discussions about this in the past and people where dissapointed by TL and tried to shrug it off with a "well at least we can be this small family" type of argument. Thorin points out the big ironies that surround TL's decision making which made me laugh because it's so accurate and kind of silly if you think about it.
Anyways I have no hard feelings or anything but I'am glad (and also surprised) that Thorin pointed those things out in the way he did
Hmm, I was using TL LoL through the main TL site since it kept the old post counts and such, but apparently that's been removed now. At least it doesn't seem like too much has changed in terms of who's posting and what we're posting about?

Pretty much the same, smattering of new people here or there.
Since there was a big thread about it on Reddit and now the Nightbloo banning while he tried to B to C run,
Riot really needs to offer a way to buy a level 30 account fresh, or just rescrap the old leveling system all-together. Right now, the cost and time sink of getting into LoL for a new account is ridiculous. It was fine way back in 2010 or 2011 or 2012, but now, goddamn. How much IP do you need to grind man!?!?!?

Ah well, was sweet while it lasted.
I honestly kind of have a hard time recommending people to get into LoL when Dota exists. It's just a better value.
Yeah I honestly can't understand how is leveling not removed.Honestly all 450 champs should be free and leveling shouldn't exist.
Like when people prefer to buy lvl 30 accounts which are 99.9% botted and risk getting banned over doing it themselves there is a really big fucking problem.

It would be similar to whatever Blizzard did for WoD: pay to auto-level an account/char up, get a large segment of IP and unlock basic runes.
Riot seriously needs to re-design the newbie experience, tbh. Outside of the early levels being toxic as crap since that's where all the banned players end up until eventually the system separates them, T1/T2 runes need to be rethought (like who ever used the Rune Combiner), and rune IP prices need to change.
random venting post since I can't really ever recommend LoL to anyone I know.

I think you need at least 350-400 NORMAL games to get leveled up to 30 without any boosts. And for the newbies who don't feel comfortable stepping out of Coop vs AI because of the low level smurfs/bots, that increases past level 9.
like, what
That's like a 175 hour tutorial (if every game took 30 minutes: lord knows how newbies ever close out games tbh) before they can join the rest of the community. While the learning curve is steep, how in the world is anyone suppose to invest so much time.
Just let them buy accounts and streamline the exp gain/newbie experience.
The only reason I got to level 30 was because my friends convinced me to play and played only stacks and that was back in season 1.Matchmaking is mmr based not lvl based anyway what's the point.....
They would never make every Champion free, but they should at least unlock all the 450 IP ones for all accounts. Just having a constant starting pool of champs would be so much better than having to use IP or the free rotation. I swear I read a post where they talked about doing something like this but it was a long time ago (and I can't seem to find it).

No.
Most of the people who wants a fresh level 30 account is to be able to go on ranked and bash noobs. It's not something which Riot should promote.
Then there still needs to be some way to reduce the leveling burden for new players if we're not going to go the easy (and probably incredibly lucrative for Riot, if the size of the LoL black market is of any account) route.
Like, increase IP or something, increase exp gain abit more, by like 25-33% (sounds about right). Or give some IP rewards on level up to speed up champion acquisition.
Straight up account buying or unlocking everything are probably not viable options, but something needs to change.
Certainly not unlocking everything; buying everything via RP already would probably be thousands of dollars lol, and does open up the P2Win argument. But just buying a level 30 account? Would undercut botting/smurfing at lower levels and probably help new players experience the game on an actual newbie island.
