sort of. lane ww got broken with devourers. jungle ww is strong since the OP season 3 junglers like Lee sin/Kha are slightly less strong so ww has less competition

Still confused why people (including Riot) expected the changes to diversify the jungle. Harder jungle monsters = fewer viable junglers. More jungle items = fewer optimal junglers. S3 and S4 taught us this. The best way to diversify the jungle is to make it really easy (you can make it take a long time, but if you do so it has to be about equally long for everyone) to clear, but make the camps fairly far away from the lanes.

This way the tradeoff is time spent clearing vs. time spent ganking. The issue with S2 was not the jungle being too easy (perhaps mid could take wraiths/wolves too quickly). It was that denying EXP/gold from enemy laners was effective even with a crappy gank, that the jungle provided too little gold for junglers, and that oracles was really expensive, but necessary (and set you terribly behind if you died with it).

Problem 1 was partially addressed with other changes to lane minions, 2 was fixed (kinda), 3 was removed entirely, and the laners taxing junglers was not really fixed anyways, but probably could have, and should have, been fixed by moving the camps away from the lanes (which would have helped fix #1 as well).

There is a difference between "this champion can clear the jungle" and "this champion is a good jungler". Making it possible for more champions to clear doesn't mean that there are more good junglers. The problem was that the jungle was so easy to clear that the only thing that really determined if a champion was a good jungler or not was how good their ganks were. The idea is to make it so that having sustain or not is an tradeoff that you have to consider when choosing a jungler. Of course, there are champions like Elise who have good sustain and ganks, so I'm not sure how well it will work out.

Objectively false depiction of the S2 jungle. Amumu, Lee, Skarner, Mundo, Maokai, Shyvana, Cho Gath, Nocturne, Shen, Xin, and Udyr were all played during the S2 World Championship knockout stages. Modern Elise, Kha6, Eve, and Rengar probably also could have been shoehorned into it if they existed back then (maybe knocking out a few that are on the list).

When you make clearing meaningless you dont make ganking the only thing matter, you just make PVE not matter. Instead you pick your jungler based on ganking, teamfighting, skirmishing, dragon control, etc. You can choose between ganking and powerfarming at any point of the game (and the balance team should focus on making them having similar expected value).

Idk it's been a while since I played taric (basically since they reworked him), but it always seems that his combo to stun someone and them run up and W them doesn't even work because his stun is so low at lvl 1...

Same here, been a while when I've played Taric for the last time but iirc, if he has a nice ADC, he can trade/all-in pretty damn well once he hits 6.

Yeah, Taric only works defensively when enemies dive you. If your jungler is a good ganker he can assist to secure the kill.
Perhaps, the only thing Taric excels in is that he is probably the most tanky support with several items.

Same here. I stopped playing for this reason. Pre-season is so silly it's not even funny. The current state of the game reminds me of pre-S3 aka league of black cleavers. Thankfully it coincides with my alpha hots access

Eh, Thresh's probably tankier after awhile, and Braum whenever he has enough CDR. Taric has a heal but he needs CDR, fuckton of mana regen, and tanky stats before he can actually outshine them because of how long his cooldowns and how high his mana costs are. It felt terrible last time I played him, really frustating.

Also if people are comparing the current pre-season to league of black cleavers... wtf. Apart from a few fringe things like WW (permabanned anyway), and towers dying too quickly (but still being annoying as hell to dive) this one's really tame. Are you sure you even played preseason s3? Even targon's spam on everyone was wilder than this preseason.
