They don't get any market share of the league, they dont get to set up shop in a media market of their choice, everything is in socal. its not a very friendly position with the way its set up now. MLG understood the value of hitting different media markets. Riot's been pushing online only real hard. with riot's ownership of player images its difficult to even market your own team effectively outside of riot approved manners. the box that LCS came in is a little too small for the growth the scene needs to see to get past the point its at now.

You're right. AmEx, Coke, Nissan, and Qualcomm all didn't care. Nobody said they had to go full Korean mode and single sponsor a team, just that non-"gamer" companies would start investing more than they had in the past.

Gahlo. plz. we were talking about creating more teams. not just random title sponsors for LCS. If you are going to contribute at least read what people are discussing first because trying to be sarcastic and witty isnt working out.
Anyone else have the problem of loading up League, staring at it for a few minutes then closing it because you aren't really going to learn anything from playing until the preseason changes hit?

How do you think the BW kespa teams came into being? 2nd gen(idk if that nomenclature would be right) orgs like Jin Air are a the exception to the norm. How do you think CJ ended up with Blaze/Frost from the MiG ancestry? How do you think Samsung got Blue/White from MVP? Even debating the West to do the "same" thing in team creation that Korea didn't/doesn't always do is pretty dumb.
Please, name change to CourtJesterXizor because every time you open your proverbial mouth you look like a fool.

Damn. you really didn't go back and read even after all that huh. Okay. its really not acceptable to act like that you know.

You know this got me to wonder why people flame so much for comments In other games if people insult me I really don't care, but this one just turns the afterburners on I've gotten upset and at other games and people in other games, but this is the only one to make me rage
Why does that one tiny comment turn into such a shitstorm?

By the way, no. Players in sports don't have minimum contracts and players unions within teams, at least not in NA, that is done at the league level the exact same way it is in LCS and getting implemented in Korea for S5.

Though I'd be pretty surprised if there are enough LoL subforumers who still remember what that's a reference to.

i never said that, nor did anyone else gahlo. plz.
and seriously. no its not done the exact same way in LCS as it is in the NFL/NBA/NHL/MLB None of those organizations pay the players directly.
i'd recommend not joining in a discussion if you can't figure out what is being discussed. ask questions next time before jumping in so you don't seem so silly.

You're so close gahlo, almost at the point. keep trying buddy. just barely keep missing it.
ahhh you're close enough i'll give you a hint but i'll spoiler it in case you think you have it without help.
+ Show Spoiler +but they also have players unions, and guaranteed minimum contracts, trades, more than 5 man teams. ect. also most franchise based sports have leagues with 30+ teams. not 8-10. so if player is mistreated by team A they have tons of options if they aren't just terrible players and can be traded away. many things that allow a healthy environment for players are explicitly prohibited by riot or avoided due to the way those contracts function. players get most of their income from non-team salary as well. Not to mention how individual player sponsorships/endorsements are discouraged by riot and its LCS sponsors getting to use your image for free. we need wealthy people to invest in teams. because there is little incentive with how Riot does LCS to create a new team for MANY businessmen. The fact that players can leave for greener pastures at all is a really good thing and allows avenues for players to not be exploited nearly as bad. Basically, if professional teams who own spots can't keep players they will have to pay players more until they can (absent collusion)
The only way i see the problem working itself out, is if one organization umbrella's its way into 3-4 slots by buying all disgruntled players and reorganizing them into other teams under a "different" owner.like alliance/EG. eventually somethign would have to be done about it.
PX, pls. I know you spout so much shit that you have trouble remembering it or intentionally forget because the chronic buildup of stupid literally gives you shit for brains, but this wasn't too far back that it should have leaked out your ears.
