It's faster than dumbcast but slower than smartcast, I don't know how it interacts with vector-targeted abilities (Rumble's ult, Viktor's laser) or charged skillshots (Vi's and Varus' Qs). | ||

The further out you are able to place the ward the easier it is to get it to the point where it shunts in the direction you want. Unless you're really good at knowing the max distance you can place a ward without going over, smart casting will make it harder to place tricky wall shunt wards | ||

Earlier today I left a game for the first time ever after basically 1v2ing a Caitlyn/Thresh lane where the Thresh was pretty much zoning me on his own. Nami didn't even take W until level 4 I think.
