lolking says Janna is in the top 10, though what it really says is "fuck your shit I'm Sona". I'm more interested in optimal ARAM builds. I've had a ton of success with Frostfang, though it's sad on certain champs that you can't start Frostfang + Tear. Chalice is also a fine start on a lot of champs, but against a team with low AP damage I've often wondered if it just makes more sense to itemize some early damage instead. And I think your itemization is particularly important for low-death ARAM champs; someone like Morgana or Lux is rarely going to die early, so you should buy something that synergizes with the fact that you'll probably be out there for 10+ minutes before shopping. | ||

Chalice is almost always a bad buy on aram. You get more AP from morello and all the MP 5 you need for 97% of the cast for less gold. Get the cdr/mp5 item that builds into morello instead. | ||

I much prefer the tear + morello combo, most of the time, tear early on is so good for near unlimited spam all while stacking quite easily, and scales insanely hard lategame. Unless you're going for full burst, and need a much more offensive build (like lich or DFG early on), I think tear is always a solid buy. | ||

Every point of mana regen early matters for AP casters, and its passive applies to your base mana regen (plus anything from masteries/runes). Get chalice, then if you want 40% CDR finish Morello's first. | ||

You wont notice one or two aram accounts in the enemy team, you will just think you had bad luck this time, but it adds up. Its really annoying when there is a whole tryhard 5 premade doing that shit. Every game would be 8/10 top tier champs. That's not RNG or good reroll luck when it happens every single game. I'm sure it's only gotten worse at the high end. My account have lots of bad champions for aram, but i have to admit that these days when I'm choosing what champion to buy I ask myself "would i hate life if i draw this champion in aram?" (main reason of why i dont own shyvana still) | ||
