it looks a lot like Darius but the lore says Sion We also have to keep in mind that the only Scion we've seen is after he's been Frankensteined out. It's possibly that in his natural state he looked a lot different and that is what the statue resembles.

I'm forced to check the source code of the page to see the remainder of the text. >> There's a part with several members of the Black Rose (Leblanc and others who go by codenames) discussing why Boram Darkwill doesn't appoint someone to succeed Sion immediatly (and hints that they want to resurrect him), is it available for those of you who can view the page normally, is it tomorrow's part that they forgot to remove?
Damn and it doesn't work at all with IE. Riot pls. Apparently I missed the picture that RoG shows at the end too. have you tried ctrl-? (as in zoom out?) works for me in firefox and I have the same resolution problem

Turns out it works, thanks! I can get the same effect by removing every bar (menu, etc.) but tabs too, but it's less practical.

I don't care about "OP" because i'd rather learn to play against it, and banning for a specific comp of ours is inane as solo queue champ select is rarely as coordinated from the start as you'd need to do that properly. all thats left is "no you dont get to play this guy" bans.

So now that they've axed the Institute of War, Summoners and such.(Pun intended) Does anyone actually know why all these heroes are fighting each other in 5v5 bouts? Not a fan of of that just being left unexplained because they don't want to tie the game lore with the game.
On the upside according to the Riot we can just ignore any champ bio bits that involve the Institute of War. So now Jax is essentially a crazy hermit with a lamp post. Seems legit.

The game is divorced from the lore of Runeterra. The only thing that is consistant in how the characters behave. Think of it like how Smash Brothers plucks characters from Nintendo universes.

I'd be okay with that, if you know these characters had another setting. A book, a game, anything but they only appear in the League of Legends. Which no longer exists. If Mario was fighting Mewtwo and Smash was the first time seeing either of them I'd expect at least a cursory explanation.

As long as they are paying people to write lore (imo a waste), they should at least let it be fun like the Jax lore. Riot seems to be doing an "epicazation" of old lore + with champ releases. Since Darius + Draven (who I think Riot thinks are its basic model) its been almost all "Epic" characters with Zac and Jinx being mild exceptions. Protip: if everything is epic, nothing is interesting. (source, have read Tolkien)

:O :O :O League lore rewrite confirmed. Darius becomes Sion, died when attacking Techistan (retconned name of Piltover) and was pushed into zombinator by Jayce(now a mad scientist seeking to revive his dead mother who worked with his younger brother Viktor. Viktor lost his body in the accident and Jayce lost an arm and leg in binding him to some armor. Now he wields a transforming weapon.). Malara(retconned Noxus) now always at war with Techistan. Demacia removed. All champions from Demacia now hail from Azibia (retconned Frejlord) and Atlentis (retconned Ionia, Half of Atlentis sank due to the rune wars. Void retconned. All champions from the Void and Nautilus and Nami now come from submerged Atlaentis).

so their lore overhaul is to have no lore at all.

Well, they have lore. The lore just doesn't have anything, at all, to do with the game. Which in my opinion is a lazy cop-out.
