Yeah, more specifically its the W+auto, the fact that you can get an auto off as you push them away with sheen is like the ultimate harass, nobody can counter trade that harass.

Vlad murders Alistar top.

I've seen an ali push a darius away while radius pressed E. The ali died shortly thereafter.

They also made it so you couldn't just cancel her ult by running into unwarded bushes.

Does Teemo's blind still block Fiora's ult? That was always my favorite goofy blind interaction.

why is it goofy, they are on hit attacks.

Unlike a Katarina, a Yi cannot kill you instantly. He actually needs to slash you a few times.
Also most Yis build full damage.

Also most Yis build full damage. AP champions build full damage too, their ridiculously good itemization just handholds them so they aren't frail. Also, a Katarina generally needs to spin for a bit and doesn't heal while killing people.

cc and burst counters squishy melees who don't provide any value if they die quickly which is exactly what yi is
if you cc and burst a malphite or a vi or something your adc could be dead ad you just focused a malphite or vi so good luck.
theres a reason nobody plays squishy melees with no CC in pro games, sometimes assassins with insane mobility and burst get through because they can kill someone before you can cc them.

yet ghostcrawler thinks ranged are in disadvantage because they have to kite ...

Except the game isn't balanced for pro teams with voice communication and regular practice, it's balanced for approximately Bronze 3 through Silver 4.
Yi is actually pretty strong in soloQ if you don't go full retard and dive in at the beginning of the fight, literally wait 5 seconds for them to burn some stuff, then go in and feel ashamed if you don't pad your KDA by at least 3 points

lol yeah it wouldn't be in riots interest to have a fun pro scene unless they had like a professional circuit or something

can you source this? it sounds like an oversimplification. being able to kite is a privilege in itself, you have to kite because you are weaker in a straight fight, if you were even and could kite naturally you'd have an advantage.
the reason ranged have to kite is because melees are given far superior stats and kit to offset the massive disadvantage of being a melee.

Alistar gets absolutely wrecked by the vast majority of ranged champions though. Nidalee and Vlad both shit on him super hard. A good Lulu probably does too, but I've been able to win that matchup with Ali more often than not. Nasus can also ignore Ali's harass with a defensive start.
