Isn't this always the motto of EUW?

Bingo.
I think the "you have to play aggressive to be better" has been severely overstated. If you have no idea what your limits are it helps, but after you've learned your limits and you keep acting dumb, someone who understands the matchup/game better is just going to take a massive dump on you.
Example: After you play long enough, it starts to become more and more apparent when you've started to chase too far without having vision. The aggressive move is to continue chasing to get the kill, but it's also stupid as hell. Even if it works, your decision making is stupid and the risk vs the reward return is not the greatest once you've crossed a certain threshold.

Then it's not aggressive, it's greedy, different.

Not really, it was about getting better and that was one small aspect of the discussion.

I'm currently 16-7 on Morg over two accounts (one is 5-0), both in Gold 4/5. She feels very easy to play and even when I get behind early, winning doesn't seem like a problem. What I'm wondering is if Morg is OP or if she just has the tools that allow me to assist my team easier. It feels very similar to the end of S3 where I finally won my promos to Gold using Corki, on something like an 8 win streak.
I feel that in both cases I deserve to be higher in rank and these champions are enabling me to achieve that.
idk

the thing about morgana to me is that bindings allow you to fish for hits, you dont really need to hold them because of black shield. if you play thresh or whatever theres a decent risk that if you miss a hook the other team just all ins you and kills you, with morg black shield + her q range lets you always back off from most supports engage potential - its much harder to punish a missed bind.
the duration of the binding means its a fairly prolonged engage no matter what, and its impossible to have a bot lane with no cc/magic damage so her black shield is always effective.
so you get this really shitty situation in lane where morg is just randomly throwing out binds, if she hits a single 1 you might die to it, its really crappy to play against.
i dont know if this means shes OP but i still ban her 100% of the time that i can.

morgana has a weakish laneing phase, especially vs poke duos but a superb mid to late game presence because she can hard engage very well and safe/disengage like no other. black shield is situationally better than what other disengagers like janna and lulu can bring. and her QR is up there with leona and sona as an engagement tool. in lane she gets outpoked yes because of her long cooldowns but she tends to do quite well vs some of the scary support like thresh and leona.
if you compare her to other "ap supports" like zyra, fiddle, annie then yes her damage and maybe also her initiation combo is less powerful but her shield is such a good tool to defend against CC of all sorts that she easily makes up for that.

Morg's catch potential is also very good in siege and pick situations.

Honestly, Morgana is not a problem if you play at least one support that is well rounded. Plus, if you are playing Braum/Leona/Thresh you should be able to make up for her strong laning phase later on with your superior initiation and teamfight (less so for Thresh, but he has fewer laning issues against her). The real problem is that Riot has made it so those melee supports have become "standard" and just all-around strong support picks instead of the more well rounded champs like Lulu (Riot has seemed to abandon her here), Nami, and Zyra.
Nami and Morgana are like the only support champions that aren't really dicked around by those lanes, and one happens to be very annoying to play against.
