Same here. Using A is nice. I used to use mouse left side button but using A feels better because you can take your mouse with a firmer grip.

So, long story short, I FINALLY got plat 5 on my smurf. It took me a lot longer than on my main. Some comparisons and why I think this is happening: Main account: 78 W, 65 L (143 games, 54.5% win rate) Champions played: + Show Spoiler + ![]() Smurf account: 145 W, 122 L (267 games, 54.3% win rate) Champions played: + Show Spoiler + ![]() It took me 120 more games to hit plat on my smurf. I think a lot of it has to do with the lack of game contents on my smurf. On my main account, I have 60+ champions and 15 rune pages. In particular, I got a lot of support champions on my main account and I have support rune pages. For a long while on my smurf I lacked good supports (I had to play Janna and Sona for the most part - and I did mediocre on both - which is exacerbated by my lack of dedicated support rune pages), no ADC rune page, and almost no top laners to play. One major issue I had on my smurf was that I had no Leona. This hurt me a lot as I was often forced to play Janna against some really crappy match ups (I had to play Janna vs Sona in one game because I honestly had no other options left). TLDR: I think this game is not pay-to-win, but if you pay more to unlock game contents, you will have a far easier time winning and you can reach your goal far faster.

I also use the smartcast-autoattack instead of the regular cast autoattack, so I pretty much use my mouse exclusively for moving. i just a click and smart cast all my items 1-7. i mostly use my actives on 3 though, not sure why lolol.

Could also be your pre-existing mmr + placement that is causing a difference. A lot of things go into this. Also, you may or may not excel at playing vs certain players. For instance, when I duo queue with a gold player and get plats on my team, I for some reason never do well (probably because I don't lead) and end up with a 50% win rate or lower. When I queue by myself my win rate is probably around 60%+. Although I have realized it's probably because I play stupidly aggressive, get ganked a lot and always tend to go even drawing a lot of their jungle pressure and then have my team win their lanes with our jungle.

Those silver games were some of the hardest I had to play. After I hit high gold the game actually became a lot easier for me.

Perhaps, but I think I can hit plat 5 with just 1 runepage and 14 champions, it just comes down to having a roster of champions who work in the current meta.

If you are Diamond, then yes, you can do it with ease. But when I am roughly plat-5 material, it's a lot harder when I am missing a lot of the game contents. I still made it on my smurf, but it took me an extra 120 games. That's like what, 70 hours?

Like Vi is not a current meta champ, but her ganks are so strong that in yolo Q you can tend to get away with it. It's not hipster per-se, but it is about having a "pocket champ" that you can pull out to leverage your skill on that champ against the enemy team. I just wish I could still call Riven my pocket champ for top lane. The hp/5 nerf to her was INSANELY overhanded, like you can't run her without a specific rune page, which I don't have the time/money to make.

This true yes, but he is also just bad. He has literally zero staying power.
