Sir, HotshotGG is the definition of legitimate top laner who understands objective based play. Just recall his glorious days in which he took Promote for the split pushing power while not having to even be there. Glorious Hotshot the genius understood that towers are more important than kills even back in the days. Not to mention he is a great tank player and is used to making plays with teleport, which fits perfectly into this meta. All hail HotshotGG.

Plus it was sorta on the right track

And yes Caomei was legit getting flamed at every single occasion, with many a site/thread/blog dedicated to hating on him ~_~

CLG needs to get it's head out of the ground. There is talent in NA. You just need to give the talent some time to grow and develop. Not everyone can be plucked from solo queue and immediately become legends like Faker. Even some of the greatest players in Korea such as Flame used to be god awful because of limited champion pools and a limited understanding of how to play the game well. NA is getting better at developing talent. Stuff such as the Challenger Series really does help the amateur scene grow. There are players out there who are capable of being very great, even if they were unheard of. Meteos pretty much rose outta nowhere and he's now by far the best jungler in NA. Ex-Quantic aka C9 took some time to develop as a team. Remember when they were Orbit Gaming and had Nien, Turtle, Hai, Lemon, and Yazuki? Yeah, they were the biggest scrubs in NA back then. Given the time, most of them have become some of the best players in the NA scene. Teams give up on players too easily. There aren't too many great ways for teams to develop and get better. Look at the organizational structure across the globe in the Asian countries. Mostly every major team has a sister team that's used to develop players. Sword/Shield, Frost/Blaze, T1 K/T1 S, etc. These teams all used to only have one good team, but with time and development, some of the secondary teams have now surpassed the "primary" team. From Royal Club, we get LMQ, who because of this structure have the experience of playing against the team that placed second in Worlds as well as other great teams from the region in LPL. These guys come to NA with all the practice in the world against players much better than them, in an environment that promotes improvement. In NA, the problem simply lies in the fact that 1) You cannot have 2 teams under the same name. 2) If LCS teams don't deem you worthy of being scrim partners, it's hard to improve to that next level. From an interview with either C9 Tempest or C9, I believe it was noted that Cloud 9 doesn't scrim Cloud 9 Tempest. C9 basically thinks C9T is shit. They're just under the name for sponsorships and stuff. The web, the structure just isn't there yet and it really does stem from this god awful rule that you cannot have more than 2 teams under the same organization. Playing against other shit Challenger teams isn't the best way to improve, especially if they're all bad.

And yes Caomei was legit getting flamed at every single occasion, with many a site/thread/blog dedicated to hating on him ~_~ Idk I read on an article on WE academy that smlz was on some world elite bashing forum which caused WE fans to backlash against him joining WE academy http://www.mundoverse.com/?p=1722
