By not having an Armor+AD item, all they're doing is making it so bruisers who want Sunfire Cape can be played (Renekton) and those that want AD instead (Darius? I don't even know) don't get to be played. | ||

If we take the quintessential bruiser/tank Renekton at level 18 he will have 52.5 MR with no items. He will have 87 armor. If you add in scaling MR runes and no armor runes Renekton will have 79 MR which means he still has more armor. Armor items tend to be a bit more powerful than MR items. BV and SV are pretty comparable to Sunfire and Randuins (if taken together, otherwise randuins is superior and sunfire is the only one that has offense) but if you want to stack armor you can with FH and Thornmail. | ||

I was kind of hoping I would lose, then I can be gold 5 again and experiment with shits without feeling bad. Now I am *finally* gold 4 (I swear, this is the first time I've actually been to gold 4; since S3 I always skip G4 directly to G3) I guess I actually have to try now. Sigh. | ||

You are probably right, but regardless of how many losses I needed to demote, god was I playing absolutely awful today. On one hand I want to get plat on my smurf too, but on the other hand I really don't have enough motivation to actually try... so I was semi-trolling all game, and my record really reflects that. | ||

For tiers in order to be demoted from Gold 5 0 LP your MMR has to hit Silver 5 0 LP. That one they've stated explicitely. | ||

I'm fairly sure it's not the same type of system for divisional demotions though. I've lost 2, won a game, and lost 2 and been demoted. I've won 3, lost 4 and been demoted. I've lost 7 in a row and not been demoted. But I've lost 5, won one, lost 2 and been demoted. I'm pretty sure they just provide an arbitrary buffer of losses before the system decides to drop you. Possibly a "You can lose til you win" formula. It doesn't make sense to me that from winning 20 points and losing 15, that going 1-4 would suddenly mean you were Silver X, 0 LP suddenly. | ||

I'd literally won like 30 games straight or something almost, had like D4 mmr @ plat 3, lost my series, and i got demoted after 1 game @ 0 mmr, and i only lost probably 4-5 games and won 1-2 shits so retarded | ||
