What I saw on PBE that didn't make it into this patch were pretty sizeable nerfs though so it remains to be seen how good he'll be after his nerfs come in. | ||

By eyeballing at the win % trend for soloQ platinum (I chose plat because I think plat players are reasonably good to play all champions acceptably and there are more of them than diamonds so less variance), Jinx, Sivir, and Draven are around 53% right now. Caitlyn is only around 49% and about the same as Ashe. EDIT: Of course Caitlyn is pretty strong competitively right now, as we have seen since early S3. But I have never been able to be convinced of her soloQ powers. It's kind of similar to playing (dare I say) AP Sion or Garen; your laning phase is really strong but you fall off pretty quickly too. EDIT2: I am not sure if Ashe will become fotm with this patch, but I think she'll be decent enough to be a good pick in soloQ. Beside her horrid laning phase I think she has a lot of things going for her; the E changes means she will be getting quite a bit more gold than before and the 40 seconds E at level 18 is pretty broken. Also she is pretty strong against the meta right now - she is actually pretty good at dealing with Mundo and Shyvana provided she has someone to support her. | ||

I think Gragas's Q does a lot more damage than similar non-ultimate AOE spells. 285 base damage (WTF?!) and 0.9 AP (WTF?! that's more than most ultimates). Cus from my eyes I am not seeing anything overly super duper awesome about it except the rooting a R target. everything about his kit except for his ult seems worse to me, they split his damage and his CC between his Q and his E so you can only skill up one or the other (and your slow that you probably can't level up first anymore can't even be reapplied), they lower the MS buff on his W if someone pops your shield during the first half of it, and just in case you were still looking forward to the skarner rework, because of the Q/E split you have a much bigger trade-off for leveling your W to increase your tankiness and mobility. i don't know, maybe it all works out much better in practice than it seems on paper because of how strong his ult is, but i am highly skeptical. | ||
