Shit is garbage without ranks, required, and maxed second.

I really think it should be way longer or a hard CC. Just played a few ranked games (ie, games against people not 600+ elo below me) and wow, that was kind of... meh. One game I was huge early, we won like 20 minutes. Other game I just felt useless despite being uber farmed... did less damage than the support. Just felt like it impossible to stick to anything come late game. Coulda been a comp thing tho. My team was Shy, Skarner, Zed, Annie, Draven and they were Nami, Lucian, Gragas, Mundo, and Jax. I'll say this, ganking pre-6 on new Skarner is a waste of time. Dont do it.

If someone was in the middle of top lane they were pretty much dead from the perma-slow. Now if they in the middle of top lane they look worried for two seconds then get away. Even ideal "free kill" ganks have minimal at best chance of success unless laner has strong cc.

He was probably the best scorpion player in the world.

Meteos did do a game with Triforce, it seemed ok, but the problem there was lack of damage to the target he was hitting once he got to the backline. Though in that game he went tanky (Randuins, BV, Golem, etc.)

Incoming gold should really be your only marker for deciding which to get. IBG is great because of the synergy with his passive/shield, triforce because he uses every single stat there, and either way he can pretty much get a sheen proc every second or third auto. I could see like SotA -> IBG -> BV -> Sunfire/Randuins -> Nashors or some order like that being a pretty sweet combo of items on him: Max CDR, lots of tank and a decent bit of damage in there too. I don't think so. first 2 items are fine, but SV is almost always going to be better than BV, and randuins+IBG is not enough armor to really survive past 30 or 40 minutes. I'd almost always reserve it for a GA or Thornmail if I could. Nashor's just doesn't provide enough to justify the item slot because lategame skarner is less so initiation/DPS and more peel/facetanking shit because of his low CD shield, and slowly attritioning champs down.

I don't think Skarner auto attacks enough in a teamfight to warrant the building of nashors. When thinking about builds, you have to think about, if I had a choice of all the remaining items to replace this item, would I? and considering how Skarner is played, I would definitely rather have another item in there. also, zhonya's skarner for ultimate swag btw. Go in, pretend to ulti, pop zhonya's instead, bait out 3 ultis, chase enemy scum down with no longer any fear of getting blown up.

Note: I do not play Skarner, never have, and have no intention to atm. Just asking in case it's something worth passing on.
