I was something like 11/1 on aatrox in S3, how is he in S4. I pretty much had one aatrox playstyle which was pretty much trying mimic lovelin and maximise ganks and minimise farm. Should I farm more and can you still start dblade.

I played a lot of Olaf recently, but I feel that while I can stay a (minor) threat in lategame with true damage, I really cannot pick up a struggling team on my back and carry it. Even if I do VERY well for myself. Pantheon, Vi, Wukong, Khazix, Elise, Olaf... etc all FOTM that I don't want to play. I like to play champions that are very rarely popular but still insanely strong (and do well even when behind), just like my favorite support Karma. Any ideas? Here's something you need to remember about soloq: There is no style points when it comes to elo or LP. Yeah but I'm by far not good enough at the game to switch seamlessly between different champions and perform well. Also, I mostly play duo queue nowadays as Karma support with my ADC buddy, so I don't get much practice in on jungle either. I like to focus on a single champion, so I get decent with it. It hurts when that champ is FOTM and banned or picked away from me all the time. Nocturne sounds like a nice idea though. Will give Nocturne and Jarvan a try. Ninjaken is a good guide to follow for carrying yolo queue so it's a good place to start

Darius jungle is really strong right now if the other team has to dive in teamfights. If your running like jinx+ziggs, and they have dive past a darius, you can just destroy them.
His clear speed is really fast, and he has 0 mana/hp problems after spirit stone.
Been building him lizard>randiuns>FH>more tank, with a hexdrinker if other team has alot of magic damage.
His fighting power at 6 is really strong, but he cant force ganks like vi/noct, so you have to wait for the right time, or get cc assist from lanes.
Hes pretty weak against a team that just kites you in teamfights though. Also, stuff like khazix can just manhandle you in the jungle, but you still are better late then him. Tanks just scale better then assasains from jungle.
Grabbing a khazix mid leap is so much fun too, DENIED.

Ye, he gets banned a lot. It's super annoying. See Donger banned a lot too whenever I do draft pick which makes even less sense.

DBlade start hasn't really changed for Aatrox so yes you can run it although its only good for early pressure and when you don't want any jungler items in S3. But now in S4 you almost have to get one of the upgraded SS items just for the extra gold they bring. I haven't got many games on him in S4 yet but I've been starting machete+5 then buying double long swords. I don't think SS is that good on him (i used madreds in S3) so I skip SS until i can upgrade straight to the full Lizard Elder jungle item. I still buy 1-2 Dblades if the enemy jungler is invading a lot or if I am invading.
I'm not sold on whether I should max W or E first. I always take Q at level one for passive stacks.

Q is also arguably Aatrox's most useful skill. It's only a one point wonder tho.
Quick question from people who've played rework Skarner. Does the rooting of the target Skarner ults effectively make it so you can't flash out of it? Because honestly that's all he really needed (maybe a slight W buff). The rest of the rework seem like a straight nerf to me. There's also the fact that Skarner can't get Shurelya's anymore (unless the gives up the raw efficiency of spirit stone items), which hurts him even more since now he's even more flash reliant.

So a little probability lesson for today
When discussing probabilities in that manner the only thing that is generally being looked at is the calculated probability for an individual segment. Not the probability for what actually happened. People who get mad at streaks are generally exhibiting an observation bias.
E.G. Lets suggest that we play 9 games in a row and we want to know the probability of seeing, in those 9 games a situation where we get FP/LP on our duo 3 times in a row.
Well there are many more combinations than is immediately obvious as to how many combinations exist and the individual probability of each one, while very low, all gets added together.
For instance there are 16 combinations in which any particular streak exists, there are 5 potential streaks but some of the streaks overlap and are the same combination. Assuming independence this puts a maximum value on the likelihood at 8%(it will actually be slightly smaller than this). As you play more games the probability of a streak of 3 increases.
So its unlikely but not too unlikely....
Until you take it to its logical conclusion. Suppose that every TL' general played those same 9 games and suppose furthermore than those which did not see an uncommon situation did not come into the thread to report it, but only some fraction of the people who did see an uncommon situation did.
So now we have say 50 people, each looking at a 7% probability that this 3 streak or more happens. The probability that none of the 50 people who report to the chat encountered the completely random situation in which they got a streak of 3 in a row is about 2%.
Now here is the real thing. If you were getting the first/last before the patch then there would be zero games in which you also did not get the same first/last after the patch if nothing was changed. So testing whether or not its working is fairly easy. Has anyone duo'd and not gotten first/last with people they know have divergent MMR?
If yes, its probably just that you got unlucky
edit: Another way to think about it is by looking at the lottery.
The probability of winning the lottery is something like 1/200,000,000. But this does not mean that no one wins the lottery because individually its extremely unlikely. It also doesn't mean that the actual probability isn't 1/200,000,000 if you(or your buddy, or your work mate, or someone in your city) wins.
