I feel his R's base is too high and ratio is too low, whereas his basic abilities have OK ratios and fairly high damage. Maybe he will be an OK jungler? His W seems promising for clearing but his Q is not AOE.... | ||

Magic pen build (Sorcs/haunting/void into other ap stuff) to abuse very high base damages, or CDR Build (Athenes or morellos, 10% CDR tomb into other ap items) once again, to abuse high base damages, passive also scales with CDR. Really depends how much mana he needs. | ||

I've always suspected his laning will play out similarly though. Bully with low cooldown abilities, no true escape. Apparently his movespeed is also quite high for a mage too. | ||

His mana costs look really low, I doubt he'll need a big regen item but who knows. Edit: I don't know that his AP ratios are that low though. His full combo is 295% AP. Syndra 319% with 7 spheres. | ||

If you build armor an E max Xin will wreck you. Getting hp is probably more useful. Belt into Sunfire or Randuins if you're playing a tank. Plus, against ganks he has a so-so escape with his ult. The reason why you don't see him is because he gets outscaled really hard and needs to snowball in order to do well. Reason being that even though his damage is absurd early, if he doesn't get significantly ahead in the first 6 or so levels, his damage quickly becomes irrelevant against the fotm tanks unless he goes full dps in which case he's terrible in teamfights. Regardless, Jax/Malph do very well against him. Jax dodges his Q plus his dodge also reduces E damage. It won't stop the knockup tho. Malph wrecks all auto-attackers. On an semi-unrelated note, why the fuck is the icon for Jax's passive, called Relentless Assault, a picture of Jax fishing? Even in the context of his old passive, Weapon/Equipment Mastery, it makes no sense.
