blaming faker for gragas popularity is hilarious. some serious player hating going on

I think we should blame Shushei instead. Makes more sense, he started the AP gragas trend.

The one thing I miss about dragonborns is that they pretty much had a dart board approach, it's like every player gets a dart and throws it at a board and they make a comp based off what gets hit. Nidalee/Soraka bot, lulu top and AD koggles mid god tier shit

the most reasonable thing would be not affecting your mmr but still counting down your placement matches, just as they handle promo matches. So yes I would definitely dodge a placement match if someone obviously wants to troll or doesn't give a fuck or sth.

I counted 14 picks and 4 bans on gragas. Faker picked Gragas a grand total of once and it was never banned against him. In the finals alone, Ryu picked Gragas more times than SKT did the entire tournament.I get that it's cool to like Faker on reddit, so it's also cool to hate on people liking him, but if you're gonna make a claim about people sheeping a champion off him like people have Riven... Well, have a fucking clue what you're talking about. he was an example i dont remember names of ogn mid-laners nor care who popularized gragas, as for me being faker nut hugger im quite the opposite, i always say he is overhyped as fuck "I get that it's cool to like Faker on reddit, so it's also cool to hate on people liking him, but if .."

anyways. gragas was strong before the buffs and regularly picked in eu. then got buffed and now he is suddenly safety+utility+burst+waveclear+poke in one package on high numbers. its only reasonable they tone him down a bit because they shouldnt ahve buffed him in the first place. the people who played gragas before the nerfs like me are in ezpez mode midlane since the buffs. you don't even have to hit good ults anymore and you still do well. with toning down his damage a bit and shifting him to utility he will be favored by players who master him and less played by the ones who just want a safe laner with tons of damage.

I wasn't asking about what's reasonable, I was asking about what happens.
Does anybody know?
Edit: Some searching on the LoL forums seems to suggest that there's no penalty for dodging placements.
So if you're super concerned about your placement MMR, dodging at the first sign of trouble is probably a good idea.

At least you get that WQ combo. When I play Alistar I'm only kicking opponents to safety! : D

Yeah, I'm done with this game xD holy moly
![[image loading]](http://abload.de/thumb/n1_xdmnftq.png)
Out of ten games I have 4 or 5 games with leavers/afkers and the worst people to ever play this game, it's not even funny, You can ping 20 fucking times, they still dont follow. I mean, i was only Gold4 last season, so being seeded into Silver would have been meh, but ok. But Bronze? XD Roflmao
uninstall, gg

Is it just me or is Shen still really good (in soloQ)? Seems like he sustains past everything with the new mastery tree, and winning bot lane from top is hilariously good.

First lesson of Alistar: If you think you NEED the WQ combo to play him properly, you suck.
Honestly it's so dumb he works now combined with the overall durability increase from defensive tree. At level 11 you're practically impossible to kill. Been going 4/22/4 with HP/AD/Armor/MR runes in the two games (YES 2 GAMES LOL AND IM LIKE FUCKING GOD ALREADY) i played. You ought to skill QWWEER in laning phase, because rank 1 headbutt sucks, but rank 2 headbutt gives like 110 damage (wtf riot?). His heal is shit at rank 1, but again by skilling it twice before 6, you have sustain on pair with someone like Sona (minus the resists), as long as you use it during minion pushes.
In lane all you do is standing in the lane doing nothing really, until the enemy makes a move. If you think you can actually pull off insane WQ combos with a marksman like Graves, go ahead, but i prefer to do nothing. By the time you ding level 6 and haven't died, you can call down your jungler (any jungler with SOME mobility will do) press flash and Q and get free kills. Every type of all-in support can't do jack-shit to you, so only pick him against those.
After laning phase just roam like any support game and play with your team. The more visible you are in fights, the stronger the impact you have (it's obvious cus you're support, but derp). With Alistar the key is to play every single team-fight like you really want to die. That means being in all the annoying guys faces, headbutting annoying assassins/AP's/Bruisers and using your Q on the targets you want to kill.

Nice guide to playing Ali. Still not gonna do it, i feel so useless on that champ (even more so than others), compared to the utility of Thresh. But hey, you're D1 Support, i'm not :D

Dunno Thresh hasn't felt that strong to me for a good while now. His kit and numbers are still great, and he's definitely gonna see play still, but he isn't gonna be near Leona or Alistar in tankiness and that's what i feel is important right now (especially with all the hard nerfs to top laners).

lantern ganks are better than like... anything else in the game. 90% of the time in solo queue your jungler wont make use of them for whatever reason and thats why i prefer leona myself but i think most pro play is decided by making big single moment plays, and thresh is just the best at that.
