It doesn't quite work out that way because of how you can cancel spells and autoattacks into each other while autoattacks have to wait for the autoattack timer. The only thing is that the autoattack timer scales with attack speed while spell animations are fixed.
Basically early game, 2 spells 2 autoattacks should always be significantly faster than 4 straight autoattacks. How much faster, we can't know because Riot has so graciously decided not to provide us any data whatsoever on animation lengths and backswings.

dravens whole kit is really strong and yet no one complains about him. if they do the standard rito thing and just nerf jinx and lucian more then imo draven will be top tier even without good personal defence.

Not to mention the attack speed changes should be really good for Draven because of the functionality of blood rush.
I do wish they could find him a passive that makes sense though.

I dunno. Draven doesn't do too great against Caitlyn and Ez in lane. Right now it's rock paper scissors between sivir lucian jinx> caitlyn ez> draven > sivir lucian jinx.

and then you get fuck all gold from your passive, so you might aswell not have one. it only takes a few auto attacks to push a lane pretty hard, im not saying "hurr durr spam autos in to creeps" but draven is incentivised to push his lane hard, and then struggles to get out of it.

Caitlyn as a counter to Draven is HIGHLY overstated. any advantage is non existant post Boots2 + vamp sceptor, if you don't beat him to BT by a full back you can't handle him, unless the support match up is massively in your favor (in which case you should have beaten him to bt by a lot anyway)

yup, thats why his passive is bad, you just play like it doesn't exist and if you snowball then you lol and rake it in on top of the snowball, it's a dumb passive. saying that because it exists you have to stack it at all costs is akin to saying that Yasuo HAS to go 50% crit, he can, but it's not always the best, and a lot of cases is just bad.

ive always seen ezreal as an easy match up because draven can harras from inside the creep wave and ezreal is mechanically harder to play than draven, so draven has the upper hand if you arent lift "im literally perfect" lift.

how the fuck is Ez supposed to man fight Draven? the only way he can "force Draven to farm it out" is if he rushes BT which is a victory in itself vs. Ez, I'll take BT Draven over BT Ez any day of the week for the first dragon and or tower siege.
spoilers if you predict his e timing you can put it on cd with stand aside if it hits during the cast, which is a dead Ezreal 90% of the time.

I dunno, from what I see, Ez's are never forced to engage onto Dravens, nor are they ever forced into a fight with draven in lane.
For the most part Ez can farm under turret just fine, and then be more useful in teamfights.
Just one of those things of Ez can lose lane by 20 cs and not feed a kill, but be the same relevance in teamfights as draven, just cuz ez's kit allows him to do so.
