I'm liking Master Yi top. So fun popping ult-ghostblade-botrk/cutlass in lane and watching them slowly die after like 20 hits. Then you get IE and 2-shot everyone else on the map

Was last night's OGN good? I want to know if I should ignore people to watch the rebroadcast or not.

speaking of the new tank meta, has anyone used trundle? He's like the best anti-tank champ in the game, he should be thriving in this meta.

I've played a bit of Trundle. He's fine, uncomplicated champ that works great in siege comps.

I really enjoy trundle top I am scrublord gold II rank- but subjugate + forzen domain + BotRK + Visage is simply hilarious vs a tank. you are stealing 40+% of their HP in 4 seconds. So you can bait fights so hard. Especially at baron / drag. Because when those objectives die, you are almost instanly at full health (provided you are standing withing kings tribute range). I love trundle in the current meta. Great initiate, great peel, great dualist. The only annoying part-
Fairly passive early laning vs most top champs, and really needs hydra if he wants to split push quickly. However after the rework, and chomp now having the ability to hit turrets / objectives- his ability to smack down turrets / objectives is scary fast.

I've been playing pretty much exclusively Trundle top at Plat I for the past month or so.
He's great. Bullies almost everyone at level 1 (not uncommon for me to FB at level 1), escapes ganks very well after level 4, and can duel any melee after 6 or even turn ganks. Melee enemies should be made to pay for every last hit.
I can't say I've laned against anyone that I thought was a terrible match-up for me, I first pick him without fear now. Nasus and Mundo can devolve into farm fests if you don't bully them enough early. Vladimir is really hard to get kills from but he's not a threat to you (he ignored Pillar slow while in pool so unless he lets himself get to like 20% health you can't kill). Teemo requires very careful play but also decisiveness, well-timed all-ins can beat him since he doesn't have great tools for escaping Pillar. Shyvana is tricky, but if you can dodge E or avoid most of W then you'll heavily outtrade her. Riven is NP, Wukong a joke. Renekton is annoying because you can't debuff him before he lands his combo, but you'll win in extended trades so the trick is not to let him just combo and dice away. I don't think I've faced Swain, I think that could be tricky.
Ultimate cooldown is very low, using it to force a back is fine, though obviously a kill is better. Obviously auto Q auto is your basic combo, with the slow you can keep whacking them good if they're not careful.
R -> Q -> W/E is situational. W helps your mobility and duelling a lot, but points in Pillar are important for teamfights/poking. I usually alternate points in W and E.
Core build is BotRK, Spirit Visage and a big armor item (Sunfire if you need to split, Randuin's if there's a fed ADC or rarely Frozen Heart). Build-order up to match-up and gold available.
Pillar placement is everything after laning. Good pillars block escape routes, divide teams in two, prevent chases, etc. etc.

Is there any way to turn off attacking creeps unless you specificallty click on them?
I tend to for example with renekton E -> press W -> stun a minion...

There is a button you can press which will prevent any ability from targeting a creep. Default is ~ i believe

I tend to for example with renekton E -> press W -> stun a minion... In the options menu under Game, you can uncheck "auto attack" if that's what you're asking.

I tried Trundle top in a normal game twice. Lost miserably the first time. I was Trundle against a Yosou with an opposing jungle Yi. Basically I could not trade well with yosou at all even though I went D shield amd he went D blade. My auto-Q-auto combo would basically get rid of his shield and I would lose the trade form his crits and spammable abilities. Also anytime Yi came top, their combined dps/ignite made it impossible for me to survive even under the tower for more than 2 seconds letting them just run away all willy nilly. My jungler was no where to be found .Granted that Yosou was mid Diamond 1 and I am only Diamond 4 I still though I couldn't do anything all game
The second time I went against a Nasus and that was much easier and I destroyed him even through his innate sustain from spamming auto q auto and using my ult to force him back multiple times(basically whenever it was up). I got a few kills on through this and was an easy game. He was Diamond 5 I believe so around the same skill level.
My two cents...

Because you are diamond, you are obv. better than my gold II ass- however i was wondering, what runes / mastery page did you have?
I normally run Lifesteal quints, AD reds, armor yellows, and scaling MR blues. 9/21/0 mastery. I feel that against more poke oriented champtions (read jayce, elise, kennen, vlad, yasu) I normally start flask, health pot, ward. I feel that D shield really doesn't offer you much in terms of good trade poential vs those champs. You already have some nice health regen thanks to kings tribute- so i kind of feel that its passive is sightly redundant for early trades in lane.
Against the few times that I have played vs yasu, I have just been extreamly passive- and waited to clear out my minion wave before attacking him. I normally don't start trying to zone hard until I have my vamp sceptor.

trundle has always been complete shit against mobile people though so it's expected.
|
All these ridiculous Rengar "fixes" why don't they just make it a spell like Khazix Q?
|
I ran basically the same runes and masteries you did. I went 9/21 I believe, but for some reason I might have gone 0/21/9 that game to see how it went but I can't remember right now. Maybe even 6/21/3 for that extra movespeed. And for runes, I ran my AD runes which are armor yellows, 2 LS quints, 1 AD quint, AD marks, and scaling MR blues.
But now that you mention, Trundle does poorly against mobile champs.
One thing Yasou did that was so frustrating is that once he got my tower, he kept pushing and warded the wraith so whenever he feels like it he can dash over the wall to wraith and I couldn't do anything even if i was going to win the trade at that point.
Just a tip some champs can do which I had never really thought of with Yasou
