Also nothing stops you from laneswapping. Sure, you'll lose your turret fist, and your poke is probably weaker, on the other hand you're probably stronger in trades and if you want to dive the enemy offlaner. And it's safer farm than in the 2v2.
Cant take LMS hipsters serious.

my point is rather that you don't need marksmen as they are not more or less carries than assassisn fighters or mages. your farmer can be ranged as well. Personally i would love to play (almost) any combination of
zyra, sona, annie, jarman, leona, ahri, janna, lux, orianna, jax, soraka, wukong.

like when i played dota (long time ago) we went for dual stun combos, there were some classic one's like crix&mirana, sven&lina or venge&cent, those lanes would be drafted to shut down babysitter lanes (before tri-laneing).

I'am pretty sure something like this double stun would work in lol as well. I kinda miss it. When I play leona these days I allways have to pray that my mm puts the slightest amount of pressure on the lane and ist not totally obsessed with his false views of how mms "just have to farm to win lategame" while they have zed and nasus waiting happily for him to meet them.

You don't technically need any "class" in a team comp, but the pros in different situations always come with cons.

But against dives they are often very strong. Especially at inhib turrets because even if you chase them away from the inhib they can get cover from nexus turrets and safely deal damage from there.

Another lategame situation where mms are really strong is if you have something like a tristana and you play from behind, lose 1-2 inhibs. This champ just destroys superminion waves like no tomorrow and scales extremely well.

But there again. The marksmen who are actually real carries by default (get items and carry) are only a few. Trist and kog are in there, ppl say vayne is in there but I'am not very convinced by her lategame per se. In any other damaging role like assassins/fighters/mages youll find even more examples of default lategame carry power. Mages like ryze, vlad, cassio flat out destroy most adc damage and survivability and on top of that they punch a pack of utility as well.

That doesn't mean you can go into soloq and pick X champ instead of a MM and succeed but it means in theory or in arranged play you actually don't need them to carry a team.


nobody is a real carry if they get 1 combo'd on a regular basis
ryze vlad and cassio do a lot of damage but don't touch what AD's do on tanks.

Isn't the bigger problem having the farmer be melle? Last hitting is too predictable earlygame when you lack waveclear or AD.

I always thought the #1 reason behind having ADC is because without them you have no reliable way to siege towers.

its both I'd say. in seiges not having an adc is just going to have you slowly lose whatever you're seiging over. adcs are also suppose to hyperscale late game and stop the singes that can't be stoped otherwise.

I sometimes get the impression that trick2g ended up being the worst thing to happen to udyr, now udyr players are so hated people are scared to pick him because they'll get flamed as trick2g wannabes.

Whether yoloq can be better served by no adc is more interesting, since most adc players suck and they suck worse since s4.

If you don't have an ad carry, you don't have a real source of physical damage lategame.
Ofc you can snowball the game, but it's a big inherent flaw in an ad-less teamcomp. It allows the opposition to itemize heavily towards mres & hp; and stuff like zed just gets stomped by tanks.
The amount of resist stacking possible in league is pretty damn big, so it's with good reason the usual teamcomp revolves around 3 controlling champs & 2 champs that can deal damage from safety, with the damage dealers being ap+ad.
And since ad carrys have a tendency to farm unsafe they're coupled with a support.

For solo qq it doesn't matter though, games are a combination of snowballing & throwing.

ketara once again shows off theorycraft that falls apart when any sort of logic is applied to it

zero mana items have fun going through the entire first 50 minutes of the game without any mana
even if you get mana items it'd mean you have to sell it to get what you have now so your build is delayed considerably

in comparison jinx can actually get those items without it being totally unviable in a real game

you gave jinx a purely defensive item (GA) compared to zero defense on cass who is an unmobile hero to begin with, so the wind blows too hard and you die
not to mention all of jinx's aoe that can execute

IDK. something must be wrong. If anyone is interested I can post a replay for someone to dissect and point out what crucial mistakes I made because I have no idea. I definitely do make misplays but those are usually when the game is pretty much over. plat 1/2 elo btw
