Janus looks AMAZING. Global ult, wall walking, CC. His damage only seems moderate (given how hard to land his 2 and ult will be), will likely end up being a support-ish mage, giving mobility to his team.
Ward skins are nifty. But they cost Gems. Pass.
Flying gold is back! Yes!
Root/Cripple buff seems nice, since they won't get stopped by Magi's. I can't really think of when Diminishing Returns really hurt them badly, but I guess it's nice anyway.
No idea how the Hunter item changes will affect things. Ask Soniv.
I shed no tears for Wukong or Tyr. Those were needed beyond belief.
Odin will likely fall off, now.
Nemesis REALLY needed that reclassification, will be a bit more balanced now imo.
Ugh, am I gonna see Herc more? I don't want to see Herc more.
Guan nerfs were in line with the rest, but... he really wasn't that strong compared to the others. Probably will need buffs in the future.
Agni changes, dunno. Nerf is good, buff likely won't change too much considering it was already easy to land his stun.
Cupid buff is neat. We'll see how it changes his pick rate.

Hun Batz will probably still be good. He still has a strong kit outside of his passive.
Poseidon will be easier to catch. Finally, that guy is still a dick though.

iuno if i feel good about how they are trying to put all the warriors in the same niche. they are balancing offensive numbers so hard around assasin > warrior > guardian which is a good general rule and its too early to start complaining about the hi-rez approved meta but it sure looks like they are heading that way.

Hi-Rez has never been secretive about how they want to classify their gods though. Warriors were always meant to be bruiser like, but for a while they truly have been "guardians that do more damage". Unfortunately, Idk where they'll find their place on the map now. I imagine they can still be used in jungle pretty well, but if they want to go solo, it will require some mage nerfs I think.

Apollo will be less good with the warrior nerfs, he paired really well with them because of their early pushing power.

But I feel like you play Apollo the same every game - shoot things, stay in your lane and push towers (cuz your passive is retarded), if anyone comes to get you, ult away.

It's a nice game, you should definately try it out.
There are a few different modes, personally I like Arena (5v5, score based on kills and minions reaching enemy goal) and Conquest (classic 5v5) the most, but Assault (ARAM) and Joust (1v1 / 3v3) also has its charms. I haven't tried the new game mode, think it's something like Dominion?
As said in GD, almost everything is skillshot based, and while attacking you move slower, so attack-centric gods can be a bit tough at first.

no wonder i didnt find a smite thread before, why is this in lol general?

anyways picked the game up un wednesday, bought the hero pack on thursday and now have over 50 games played. shit is damn fun. seems like with some moba knowledge you can pick it up quite easy.

how long does it usually take for new heroes to come out? is favor useless now for me outside of recolor skins?
all other skins cost 3-10$ ?

The thread is in LoL because OP fels at home here, and as the topic suggests, it's about getting used to Smite coming from a LoL background in MOBAs.

New gods seem to arrive about once a month, at least through the later beta stages and up till now.

ADC is Attack Damage Carry, a term widely used in LoL to depict a champion and playstyle which has a (ranged) attack, attack-modifying skills like attack speed boosts, and is there to "carry" the team to victory later in the game, by the virtue of taking down towers easily. Kindof like the Hunter in Smite.
