I could do a small write up, but I don't do it that often and am still learning it myself. Also, things got shaken up quite a bit now that mid harpies are on a 3 min timer instead of a 2 min timer

What would you like to know? Picks, routes, builds? Or I could edit the old primer for the newer updates if you'd like.

Jungling is a bit different from League, especially in the early game. In a serious match, you’re going to spend some time with your solo laner. To this end, the starting route differs depending on whether you’re Olympian or Invader side. Either way, your starting items will likely be the same. Starting Items Most junglers start with the same 3 items each game.
Certain gods can eschew this in favor for other starts if their sustain is high enough. For example, Thanatos can start with rank 1 Tabi in place of Bumba’s, thanks to his 1 and passive. This lets him get almost a full item ahead of the enemy jungle. Other gods with good autoattacks and built in sustain can start with Death's Toll, though they may have to end up buying Mana pots and backing a bit more often. Everyone can do the Bumba’s start, though, so my recommendation is to stick to it until you’re comfortable. Olympian Red buff -> Blue buff Your solo laner and mid will do mid furies, so do Red by yourself. Hand Red camp, kill the buff monster, and then go to Blue with your solo. Be careful, as Invader side has a generally quicker Orange -> Blue clear and may come to contest your Blue Buff. Much easier if your solo laner took HoG. If they come to contest and you're not sure you can finish it before the fight, reset it or leash it to them. Invader Orange buff -> Blue buff Your solo laner will help you with Orange, while your mid and duo will take the right side Furies. Use your HoG on Orange, and take the buff. Go to Blue, and your solo should use their HoG (if they bought it) and then take that one with your help. As above, you should be done quicker than Olympian side, so feel free to go over and poke at them, or clear the first wave quickly and push into their tower. Next Step Now, you can pop your Potion, or hold onto it, it depends on whether you think you need the extra damage for fighting and clearing. Use your judgement, but if you’re not sure, just pop it right after Blue. From here, it depends on the situation. You can hang out with your solo laner until mid camps come back (much longer now that it's 3 minutes up from 2), or you can chill for a wave or two then go start clearing the jungle. Generally what you decide to do will depend on your 2v2 situation. If the two of you have high push (say, solo Ra and jungling Tyr), you can shove and deny them. If you have good early game CC (say, If you're still new or uncomfortable in the role, the best rule of thumb is to stick to the solo lane until either Mid camps come back up or the enemy jungler leaves, whichever comes first. You two should be approximately mirrored in exp and camp clears, so keeping that even is a good play. Clearing In Smite, clearing the jungle is better than camping a lane pretty much at all times. You should only gank when there’s a high probability of getting a kill, or if you’re counterganking/saving a lane. If they’re farming away, you should be doing the same. With fast clearing and the occasional gank gold, you should keep up with lanes or even surpass them in gold. Priority for camps is as follows: Mid Furies > Red/Orange > Blue > Small Furies Mid camps have highest priority for several reasons. They give the same amount of gold as buff camps (well, 1 less), respawn more than twice as fast, and most importantly, are contested between each side. By killing them, not only are you getting the gold for yourself (and likely your mid), but you’re denying it from the enemy. Blue camps are slightly less important because they’ll always go to your side laner, but they're a big source of gold and experience. If at all possible, try to get them by yourself for the extra EXP. However, as long as they get secured for your solo laner/Hunter, it's fine. Basically, just try to keep everything on your side of the jungle dead. If you're playing a gank-heavy jungler, passing up on the Small Furies is fine, but for the most part you don't particularly need to gank a lane unless: a) It's an easy kill, like an overextended Anubis b) The laner really needs help (and not just says they do, but really do) c) You see the enemy jungler on his way there and go to counter d) All the camps are dead and you have enough health/mana to fight Of course, this is from a very selfish jungling viewpoint. Farming over ganking makes you fairly rich (assuming you get mid camps) and keeps up in levels. Ganking, of course, will help your teammate but may set you behind. Whichever you choose is up to you and what god you picked. Who can Jungle? Currently, it seems that many gods can jungle if put in the position, though of course some are bad and some are nearly made for it. Any current assassin can jungle, and do well at it with their ability to come into a gank and provide massive damage for their laner. They also clear fairly well, most having burst to quickly kill large monsters or even AoE abilities. Currently some of the best junglers include Mercury, Bastet, and Hun Batz. Almost all Warriors are good at jungling right now. Vamana is probably the weakest jungler out of the bunch. Chaac, Osiris, Tyr, and Nemesis can all be picked in the jungle with little to no issue - in fact, Tyr jungle is Guardians make decent to poor junglers. Athena is the best of the bunch, having amazing gank prowess and decent clear, while Ymir has slightly better clear and ganking, but lower mobility. Khumbakarna may be able to jungle, but is not a great pick. The rest shouldn't really try it out, unless you're a very skilled/knowledgeable Hades player. Of Mages, there are a few decent picks. Freya is a fantastic jungler, having decent ganking abilities, good clear, and the ability to hypercarry out of the jungle, so I'd highly recommend her if you want a magic damage jungler. Poseidon jungle has been seeing some popularity due to him just being an overall good pick, and Anubis has very good clear times and decent ganks with his stun. He Bo also fits under this category. However, the three of them really require you to know them well and be an experienced jungler, so don't expect people to like it if you lock them in. Nu Wa can jungle fairly well and ganks decently, but is not a popular pick and is also very good in lanes, but consider it if you can convince your team. No Hunter should jungle. I mean, maybe they can, but just don’t. Jungler notes, some of the more popular picks
Later Items Since Assassins and Warriors are prevalent junglers, I’d like to talk about Heartseeker. It’s one of the best items if you can keep it fully or nearly fully stacked. The MS helps your roaming as well. However, while you get similar gold to lanes, you don’t always get numerically as much creeps as lanes do. If you feel like you’re farming well and you’re not spending too much downtime roaming or babysitting, Heartseeker is a great investment. If you’re dying a lot, losing camps, etc, skip it. I don't like it as much, but many junglers like to get it to soft-snowball. Other than that, start with Bumba's (other than a few gods as talked about earlier), then get boots. Mobility is key, and you don't want to be lagging from camps to fights. Attack Speed gods do well with Qin's Sais. Freya should grab Fatalis and a Rod. Any Warrior god should grab at least one defensive item, generally one of Shifter's Shield/Magi's Blessing/Hide of the Urchin. Jotunn's Wrath is usually a good buy, as CDR and pen is very useful on most jungler gods. That's just basic item ideology though. Build your god the way they should be built - get pen on ability-focused gods, get AS on gods that like to auto, etc. As for actives, HoG is necessary (HoG3 is good for objectives, though many like Fist for the stun). Sprint is good on pretty much any jungler or in fact any god in general. Tyr, Ymir, and some others should go for Blink instead. If you already have mobility and don't feel like you need more, you can get Beads/Aegis for defense, or Enfeebling/Weakening Curse to lock down opponents. Other Like in League, people will beg for ganks and for you to win their lane for them. Honestly, most of the time it’s just best to ignore them. Like I said, farming is best unless there’s a high chance for a kill. If you’re in a lane and the enemy jungle gets both Mid Fury camps while you’re dawdling, you’re way behind. Counterjungling is very iffy, and I’m not really an authority on it. If you’re playing someone who can 1v1 well, like Arachne, Bastet, Kali, or Tyr, feel free to ward up enemy buffs and jump them, but many junglers can’t invade, similar to League. I’d say stay away from it until you’re really comfortable at assessing power levels. Disclaimer: I'm not a fantastic jungler, but these are the general principles.
