Scaling runes if the power point equivalent hit at lvl 6 meams at lvl 18 they'll be 3 times as good as flat. The best scaling are probably going to be stuff like ap/lvl, where lvl 6 is when you can start abusing your kit's powerspike with your runes strength as well.

The tricky thing about that "start abusing your kit's power spike at level 6" is that if your post-6 kit is that much stronger than your pre-6 kit, it probably means your pre-6 kit is weak enough that you wanted other non-offensive rune types to buffer your strength rather than adding to your post-6 power spike.
It's not so easy to just balance flat/scaling over one stat, since there's interaction between the strength of different stats.

I think Ap probably only stat I think works well with scaling. Most ap mids generally have very safe farming, and their kits don't start kicking in til lvl 6. Where their full ap ratios on a rotation are unlocked.

Only thing that would make scaling runes better is if they increased the scaling a lot on the later levels and there was a way or reason for you to take advantage of some later timing with Cary champ, assuming you could create a scenario in which they could free farm (ie 2v1). I simply hate juggling runes. I made a new runepage for Eve once, then didn't get to jungle for like 7 games. Then I got bored of Eve once I played her a little bit, forgot about it, then didn't have my sexy Mundo Jungle Runepage ready when I picked him.

So the idea with GP top recently is that you can just max Oranges and never give a fuck in 99% of lanes, right?
With the Yi Mediate buff, I think he should be able to do the same, but maybe even more effectively. He's weak in certain lanes (defense stacking lanes where he can't just yolo through them), but even in lanes where he's going to take a bunch of damage, if you max W getting 440-880 health for only 50 mana is pretty crazy efficient. Sure, it's not instant like Oranges, but the ability to grab farm, eat harass, then walk away and regen ~half of your health bar back is pretty nice.

I will try this. Master Yi doesn't have a global Master Yi also goes balls-to-the-wall murder as long as he doesn't get too behind. GP needs to get way ahead to steamroll half as hard as a Yi, imo.
