IF they do a major retuning of runes I want all my rune IP refunded so I can buy the ones I want.
Otherwise this is just setting back players like me who already dont have all the relevant runes AND still need like 1/2 the 6300 champs.
And hell, I don't even mind paying money for certain parts of this game, like skins, but runes are a fundamental part of your power.

Good thing I still got almost 30k ip stocked! Hue

I'm sort of amused at how Riot doesn't make the connection that part of the reason for this is that the inability to tune your rune selection AFTER teams have selected champions forces players' runepages to be somewhat general, even when you have access to a large number of runepages. If you could do that, you wouldn't buy as many rune pages with RP (cuz let's be serious, no one wants to drop 6300 on a page). It's in their best business interest to not allow it. Although it's certainly not in the best interest of the game. Right, I understand this. I just think it's funny that they think that this is a problem at all disregarding that. People are going to have generalized runepages because of how your runepages have to be fixed going into champ select. Tweaking rune strength might alter the "best" runes to use, but ultimately we're going to reach a steady state simply because the realities of rune selection demands one.

That'll be enough for half a rune page... Fkn rito.

Unless Riot does something nuts like buffs crit damage, cdr, hybrid or energy runes I think I'm in pretty good shape.
As long as whatever runes are powerful are not the 830x9 ones I'm happy. Screw those!

Well they mentioned hybrid defence yellows, given hybrid pen reds cost a lot I imagine these would be expensive and really good.

I like this change. + Show Spoiler +"We’re also changing the Biscuiteer mastery so instead of granting a single-use biscuit, it now upgrades health potions into Rejuvenation Biscuits that also grant a little mana regen."
Depending on how big the changes are to runes I'm hoping Riot refunds everyone's Runes and normalizes their prices (cheap runes too cheap, expensive runes too expensive). I have a few runes I would like to refund. This way everyone can rebuild pages from scratch because moving Arm/Mr runes into the same category could fuck over many new players with only 1-2 run pages and not a lot of IP. And we know how Riot likes the newbies! (fingers crossed)
I could see the next "catch all" rune build for new players become something like Hybrid Pen Marks, Hybrid Resist Seals, CDR Glyphs and MS Quints. One page to rune them all!

Screw me, seeing Diamond V (at Gold I Elo) and Plat II + Silver I duoQs. I know the end of the season is in only 2 weeks, but still, games get so dumb when such a discrepancy is present. No, I'm not QQing that "getting a duo like that is loss gg". I'm just annoyed because either the low guy is decent and his buddy will wreck, resulting in a stomp, or he's at his real Elo and generally gets destroyed (or destroys himself, happens too), resulting in a stomp.
It's not like that everygame but the appeal isn't there when most games involving such duoQs are so one-sided. Obviously Riot can't prevent it because it'd be harmful to the "fun" of people wanting to play in ranked with their buddies, but how "fun" is it for the other 6-8 to have to deal with the effects on the matchmaking? :/

Occasionally though, the lower ranked player will play much, much better than the higher ranked duo.
Just saying.

AD marks are better for new players almost universally due to last hitting

Posting this here for visability NA AND EU LCS CLASH IN BATTLE OF THE ATLANTIC TOURNAMENT:
Pretty cool. Gives teams something to play for in the off season, plus we get an epic Fnatic v Cloud 9 rematch.
Edit: Also it's gonna be our first look at pros playing with the Season 4 changes, so that should certainly be interesting.

It allows for 10 or so general runepages with another 10 for your role specialized rune pages.

Just saying. The anomaly there is that despite how low Soniv stoop on a regular basis, you still haven't managed to do better more than "occasionally". <3

"Not dying" does not constitute as carrying. That's what you're supposed to do.

Only thing that would make scaling runes better is if they increased the scaling a lot on the later levels and there was a way or reason for you to take advantage of some later timing with Cary champ, assuming you could create a scenario in which they could free farm (ie 2v1).
If scaling runes were like X stat per level per level then that might make a real choice. Most pros are using flat runes for even things like MR which breaks even around lvl 6 because flat MR just lets you do more things for the first 5 levels and get away with it
