Oh? My bad then, I missed that bit. It's weird that they didn't seem too sure about his appearance till a bit before, or didn't have a fixed kit for him yet, considering it wasn't that long ago, then. Or they just straight-up lied about that but I wouldn't see the point over being elusive.
Edit: ya you got confused on that one, early september:
One thing to bear in mind though is that this is a really early preview - this champ's quite a way off. For those wondering this is also a different champion to the one CertainlyT's mentioned he's working on that's a couple of champion releases away. Jinx is Gypsylord's champion, so CertainlyT's is the next one, and then it can be Ao Shin.

I don't remember them saying that (being specific about his launch eta) either.

with riot japan cranking up they might time the release with that. though i imagine they'd also spend most of the time making weeaboo skins for every single hero available

who has a list of which rioter made which hero?

the wiki has them for previously released heros, I can't seem to find anything saying who's heading up Ao Shin though.

The wiki will tell you who designed each hero (under skins and trivia) but I don't think they made a page with the full list.

Played 2 games of Lissandra support in normals yesterday, was pretty fun. Great if you play very Chinese meta, 5 man roam for kills, it's fucking glorious.

Supposedly this was done to give Riot leeway in shifting more power to Ricochet. At the moment this puts Sivir's numbers way under what they should be (at level 6 Ricochet's steroid barely beats out the base attack speed of carries like Ashe or Tristana). Riot seems to be aware the numbers are too low, so they're looking at increasing the Attack Speed on her ultimate and scaling the damage on Ricochet with ranks.
They explicitly want Sivir to be a CDR focused carry rather than an AS/Crit focused carry. I'm not sure the itemization exists for that at the moment, but it's a interesting goal.

Not like they are taking a champ that is played a lot and ruining their place in the game. I don't mind them experimenting on a champ that rarely sees play.

Kind of off-topic but I hope Riot fixes Lux soon, she has high damage, she has tons of utility, she has ridiculous range, she can one combo a champ (she can even one combo more than one), she can clear waves fast, she has very good ulti with approximately no cool down whatsoever, she can initiate fights, she can disengage fights... I mean wtf, they might want to give her vayne;s like ad power while with ap items, so we could say she is complete..

Na, one of them (Statikk iirc) said that he liked the idea of CDR Sivir being doable, which is different from the team working on her setting up CDR as the intended "standard/core" build on Sivir. I mean, it's like Lucian: sure he'd work super well with CDR, but there isn't any itemisation for it, and they didn't butcher his straight-up dps for it.
Sivir having the worst AS of every marksman (pre-6, and barring Jinx's Fishbones case which makes up for it with extra range, damage and splash) and a pretty poor auto animation also probably makes her laning even worse versus any lane with ranged harass to drop on her. Since her only way of extending her range is her Q which isn't great for farming (and puts her oom after 3 uses) I don't quite see this iteration playing decently from behind. Add to that that for some reason Riot seem particularly attached to their claim that Sivir has amongst her unique niches being a pusher, despite all the champions doing better (either because they nuke just as well as her, or not quite as well but with good enough range to be able to freely auto to finish the job, or because they can somewhat keep up with her and then totally overtake her once she runs herself oom), and I'm pretty skeptic about her laning as long as you don't plan on trading with her away from your creep wave.
It boggles my mind that they still claim that, and since they don't seem to have any incentive to lie about it then they probably genuinely believes it, which boggles my mind even more. I mean, I understand how the current kit can be tweaked with numbers and stuff to give her decent single-target dps while dishing out some AoE as well, but the current iteration is full of holes that simple math can point out and they were still pretty sure of their stuff when they put her out on PBE.

I don't really think there's anything wrong with Lux. I would be happy if she was used as the standard for APC power levels. At least she can't completely catch you from a screen away (cough, assassins), she can be countered to a decent degree with better wards and positioning. Was she even played at worlds?

I think there's a QQ thread for this.

you seem to be the only that thinks lux is still op. I would even consider her weak at the moment.

Lux is comp specific. By no means is she a pick-in-any-situation-and-win champ. I know M2 is just QQing, but I'd like to see information why such an "op" champ isn't 100% pick/banned at the highest echelon of play.

does anyone know if there's in-lore justification for there being so many terrible summoners.
