I hope the Xerath visuals aren't complete because his spell animations look super wimpy, especially that ult.

Also I hope the Morgana thing doesn't happen. It just shows a total lack of understanding of flow, how a champion rotates their abilities is everything to how fun they are to play. If Morgana lands a bind she gets to puddle them full duration which in turn shreds their MR while her ult chain is waiting to detonate which stuns again which allows her to auto-land another bind/pool. That is a smooth flowing kit (albeit weak at the moment). If you make puddle based on missing hp then it doesn't lead into the chain and in fact misses a lot of damage because it dries up when your ult lands.
The really strange thing, in my mind, is their reasoning. The idea that they need to reinforce a pattern like that is...strange.
Edit: This comment is stupid, so let me elaborate. There's no reason for them to throw percentage missing HP damage on a small PBAOE. It doesn't really belong there. I guess it helps her in an AoE comp, which is maybe Riot's goal? I'm not sure she has enough cc to make good use of it without another big ult like amumu or galio to help out.

Xerath/Heimer changes are REAL interesting. I'm not sure of this makes Heimer more viable or not honestly because I don't know where he fits atm. Xerath is all skillshot now, and you can't be in range of anyone when using his ult because you can't do anything but click on the spot you want to target, but you get huge vision range and shit. It's pretty cool.
They also updated the particles on his other skins and stuff so that's pretty awesome too.

Why does Riot always feel the need to homogenize everything?
How does forcing Ahri to start every combo with E make gameplay better? Why not just lower ratios or something.... Its kind of like their resistence to lanbing formations that not 1-1-2.

Riot balance team just sees what is currently strong and brings out the nerf hammer. There haven't been changes to Ahri or Fizz or Kassadin in a long time but they became popular due to meta shifts. But they don't give the meta time to shift again because they just see OH NO IT'S OP BETTER NERF. Slight tweaks would be fine but Ahri is about to just die..

1) Ahri changes I agree with. Need more data on the passive change to fully understand it, though. Zyra nerfs were necessary. Her base damages are currently just insane. More hits to Corki's base AS are a pretty good way to hit his power (plus CDR interaction with his rockets).
2) Morgana change seems abit iffy but understandable. Mana cost reductions on ultis are a nice QoL change. Swain passive gving %max mana on kill/assist goes a long way to solving his mid-late game mana issues (and may help relieve some of his massive mana consumption). Unsure of Ziggs change.
3) Shen+J4 CC is more difficult to hit. YESYESYESYESYES.
4) OH MAN. They removed the cast-delay/silence for Vlad after his R (preventing him from immediately Q+Eing after casting). POWER SPIKE ACTIVATE. Vlad FotM inc.

It's a necessary change, and I agree with it fully. Otherwise, Ahri can feel free to miss all skillshots and still blow people up because the damage on her with just DFG+W+R was high enough to still seriously threaten squishies without hitting a single Q or E.
She get's a free DFG proc from her Charm now, and she has more counterplay options. It entirely depends on how the numbers roll out (they'll probably balance it to make hitting E slightly more damage on her full combo), but I agree with it.
The issue with just lowering ratios is that it would just make her scale worse (which isn't what she needs imo), and more dependent on her base damages (which she already kinda does), and just buffing Q damage (which is what moving ratios and base damages about would imply) has significant effects on her laning by improving her pushing/harass potential in lane. Not sure what they're going for with the passive change (is it a buff or a nerf I can't say, probably a buff but need to see numbers).

charm is very hard to hit and has a long cd. it also gets maxed fairly late.
focusing on the single target burst scenario as an example of ahri op is misguided. she can burst all the squish supports she wants, but that does not make her win games. her team fighting relies on ulti repositioning and most of that team fight damage is getting nerfed along with her effective combat duration. she's already pretty lackluster late game and in team fights, now the unreliable skirmishing just makes her have no point in a lineup

Who was just asking about Hockey Jax? Just gotta wait til next year lol.

i like how they announce it on the same day as all the nerfs so that all the sheep get distracted by the thoughts of more meaningless skins and make them forget about rito lowering the viable champ pool again/not actually solving any real issues
|
Great, all my skins will be worthless now. I don't feel special anymore.

There aren't many skins I want, but I will pay Riot infinite $$$ if they offer Champ Riven for sale.
Riot pls gimme Champ Riven code
Edit: As for the proposed changes, Ahri nerf w/ no Zed nerf is bad, Xerath changes seem ok, make him more like a magical sniper and less like a siege tank. Heimer rework I don't care about, never play as him or vs. him outside of ARAMs, and Zyra changes seem bad. Morgana changes seem bad as well, and seems indicative of how some champs Riot's made they have no clue how to balance/buff/nerf/etc.
|
They better not make S2 Riven available again.
Knowing riot though, they will lol..

I really feel like the reduction to Morgana's base damage should be reverted, the tradeoff of losing the MR reduction is enough. Mainly my issue is right now she already suffers from the number of mid heros that flash farm much faster than her making Pool actually not a very good waveclear as is, idk it might not even matter but I feel like the reduction was not needed.
thoughts?

lol the funniest thing about this is if you bought all of the Legacy skins before they disappeared you'll essentially have gotten them all for free and can buy a shit fuck ton of other skins and stuff.
I only get RP for Haunting Nocturne, sadly.

You're looking at it in the completely wrong way, riot is nerfing j4's BS knockup AoE and ahri while opening up skins and giving nifty limited edition borders + RP refunds to people who got them earlier. They also seem to be looking at morg.
IT'S ALL GOOD
