The most disappointing part of Zac for me still is that he isn't amorphous like the preview hinted he might be, what a complete failure to take advantage of unlimited possibilities his character design is. To me, all this read is "She's Karthus without global pressure." I almost actually wrote that exact thing when I was writing that lol. She does have more CC, but the reason people don't play her is pretty much what Gahlo said to a T, I would say her teamfight is a bit stronger though, more up front burst instead of post mordem. she can however snowball a lane better than Karthus should her lane opponent happen to fuck up a couple times. I think the reason she's not played mid is because nobody on the professional level plays her consistently. She's definitely a serviceable mid. She's not top tier, but she's not weak either. Mid is also one of the most robust roles in pubs, it probably has the most potentially playable champions. Zyra is a niche mid who's niche has been forced out of the Pro meta currently because of Divers that are OP (like Cassiopia) cass rotated back into being a competitive pick? Intentionally trying to make my sentence say the opposite of what I meant?
uh, no? that would be retarded. it was poorly punctuated.

Even assuming that, Cassio is not a diver...
Edit: Honestly, if you thought I knew that little about the game (Somehow I imagined Cassio is both often seen in competitive play, AND a diving champion), you shouldn't have responded. But since you didn't think that and just wanted to troll, its fine.

i actually think cassio will see a resurgence soon, you heard it here first, stay tuned for more predictions

Agreed. Some champions are just fine as is outside the competitive scene. Kassadin is a good example. People base their champion picks off competitive way too much, but in normal pub play lots of champions can be completely viable and good. They have weaknesses that can be abused if the other team knows it and executes/picks at the highest level, but otherwise they're fine. Kassadin is more than just fine. He's permaban for me. I've seen a Kassadin go legendary more often than not in solo queue. He punishes mistakes by the opponents heavily, and snowballs easily.

The koreans consider mejais core on kassadin hue

It's not really a joke, it's been built in champions on Kass like 4 seprate times.

you have the most embarrassingly thin skin imaginable.

It's easy to see what you really meant with a little game knowledge, but you have to admit that sentence represents your thoughts very poorly even by shitty internet english standards.

Ok - this patch is great and all but - why the FUCK would you make health bars invisible by default? Hmmm? Riot? Answer me pls?
Like seriously isn't last hitting essential to this game? Or am I missing something here that would make not knowing your enemies health advantageous? Is this hard mode?

Ehh, resurgence on cassie. I've felt both ways on that possibility. On one hand, she has silly dps, I'd even consider her one of the "hyper-carry" APs. She has decent laning phase and is capable of shredding tanky champs once she has liandry's.
The other hand, she is pretty prone to dives, and if she is using her ult to stun the j4/zac/insert diver here, she isn't using her main team fight skill to it's maximum use. I don't really see the point in playing her when someone like Diana does what she should be doing for the most part, or Lux can blow people up from 8 screens away while providing arguably the most utility for an ap mid.
I really think Lux is the reason why a lot of aps aren't picked anymore. No need to play high damage ranged mages when Lux is a thing.

Why is Swain not picked more often?
I've been seeing quite a bit of Swain top blue side with an AD mid/ manaless AP mid and I've been getting outlaned pretty hard by Swain top + blue buff. Literally happened to me three games this week.
He seems to stay in lane forever and bully certain melees. And after 6 and he's ahead and/or with a bluee buff, I'm just sitting at tower getting zoned. Maybe I'm just a baddie.
I faced vs. him top as an Irelia/Vlad/Malph. I literally felt hopeless as Vlad/Irelia vs. that.

No, you're right, swain is a big lane bully. I think the problem with him in competitive play is his vulnerability when he looks to do damage, similar to cassiopia. He's similar to orianna and karthus but he doesn't have the same range as orianna and karthus has his passive and insane scaling. Best way to deal with him in lane is to gank him when he overextends as he tries to push you around.

Lol I dont care. I just think you were being ridiculous.
Also, I loved the Orianna/Anivia/Karthus meta. I even liked most of the fringe characters at that time, so it makes me testy.

According to Scarra Swain doesn't see much competitive play because he needs to get to get too much of a lead during the lane phase to stay relevant afterwards. (too snowball reliant)

I've been looking to get a tankish mid lane that isn't Cho or Mordehuehue. It's between Swain and Diana for me right now. Suggestions on who to get?

is this really a patch feature? i thought i just fucked up and hit a button....wtf

Not on right now but i'd imagine Shift+L or L will bring them back... unless they changed that. Actually looks like they did change it so it shouldn't be on by default

The only thing about health bars in the patch notes is this:
Removed the default key bind for "Show/Hide Summoner Names" (previously, Shift-K). The function can still be bound in the Key Bindings menu if you wish to use it

He's hellah good vs Vlad though, if my top lane memory holds true.
