Generally very good quality work, but just for yourself to view. http://leaguecraft.com/skins/6390-hextech-skarner.xhtml For example this one. I used it for a while, the amount of work put into it is pretty amazing. | ||

Let's be honest here, some skins are pretty questionably close to certain licensed work, but does a good enough job to skirt the lines. So whenever anyone does bring up that scenario, they're pretty much saying "make it close, but not exact". | ||

They also break fairly regularly with patches. Basically if Riot adds some new functionality for particle effects or whatever, or changes around some protocol, they can just send every skin they have through a script that'll export the skin as some slightly changed format and patch it. Custom skins don't have that luxury, so they tend to just bugsplat if you try to enter a game with that skin. | ||

I'm sure most of them know that the brave face is going to be a farce. For any competition, when you go in, you aim to win, and you try to convince yourself that you can. Sub 30's have MMR, but it's separate or more compressed(dunno which) compared to 30's. When you have 80+% winrate over ~170 games, with a consistent winrate throughout, your MMR is extremely high relative to other sub 30's. so the system takes forever to find a game for you. | ||
