I don't think he is quite that much of a contrarian, I really believe he just thinks in a way that leads him to disbelieve what people say until he sees it for himself. I've never seen him change his opinion based on the argument, so I'm guessing much like Shikyo he has to see it himself to believe it.

Man... I've got a bad feeling about this new Yi. I played ad yi before, just as like a backdoor proxy ninja who did nothing but push turrets. But now I'm like ham mode jesus activate. Killing kids before they even know its coming. This shit way wack.

I kinda prefered being in division I because the progress was slow, so even with a loss streak or a win streak you didn't move that much, maybe 30 LP? It made progress (when you're consistently over 30 LP, then over 50, etc.) over the course of a bunch of games seem more significant, compared to the divison V where I just rocketed into a promo series almost right away, ate baddies, had a loss streak a bunch of which was due to myself down to 25 or so LP (with an Elo initially way higher than the division, thus low losses), climbed back to promo in 4-5 games, ate kids, back to promo in a game, briefly wanted to rip my brains out, back to promo in a game², then just had random games with a collection of baddies in one and myself playing like trash and getting heavily carried in the following one.
It definitely didn't feel as satisfying getting up, but maybe it's because the system telling me "you should be higher" came down to me thinking I can't really register progress through it until I'm stabilised. I liked the Bo5 a lot more than the Bo3 too. If your first game goes awry, say because of a troll, or a particularly stupid guy, you basically get a "you've got no room for mistakes because each game is critical now" vibe, compared to a Bo5 where it's just "yeah, yeah, you've got less leeway now, what then?".
On the other hand it seems that people prefer the Bo3 because the Bo5 are longer and put more pressure on them, from what I've read? And there's also the fact that series don't mean shit because they're a ponctual event while you're looking at the long run to track progress. Still, earning +28 a win as a standard feels weird.
Edit: on a totally unrelated subject ('cept that it was the guy who carried my sorry ass), a player had a summoner icon depicting the "shadow" of a tower (a tower with the sun shining behind it and casting a shadow on it, so black/orange/yellow tones) and when I asked where it came from he said: Ð Jabberwock: champion in riot tournament Ð Jabberwock: best jungler EU regional Anyone has an idea what it is? Never heard of it.

I just witnessed my first Yi remake. It was a blind pick normals, and I'm bad, so it was poor quality of play, but this dude fed hard - went 2-9 before 20 minutes, but was still able to solo a fed Skarnar and then got a few items and destroyed everyone.

Still, earning +28 a win as a standard feels weird. i was in a similar boat when i started playing ranked again, had decayed to bronze so i was gaining leaps and bounds of LP per win. I still am but about half as much only 20-26 a win instead of the 40 i was gaining. It makes the timing of your losses far more important. if i lose 2 games in a row outside of my series it makes less than a half a win difference, but losing in promo twice sets me back 2 wins. Its odd.

He and i exchange PMs on stuff from time to time and he views the game in a similar way to me. The legend grows

But there are many things provably wrong, I'd stand to say roughly 99% of this game has things that aren't 100% black and white, with how volatile the game is from a game to game perspective, as well as spanning over many skill regions. You could argue pretty much anything, if you wanted to, so I don't blame you for seeming to go against the crowd. You could argue about a lot more.
You still have never changed your stance in an argument in any GD I've ever seen.
But that's enough off-topic chat for me, I have to say after playing all this afternoon, HOLY FUCK I'M SICK OF YI. It's only been one day, but I'm sickened with how useless he can be early, and after he gets a kill or two (he can choose to all-in with his ult and if it looks bad just run away) just turns into this monster that kills you in a right click and a Q. It's really no different than most other snowbally melee ads, I've just never seen so many in a short amount of time. Wtb thornmail every game.

I feel like as weird as it sounds Yi is the poster child for riot trying to make a dota-ish champion and then giving him scaling and nerfing his base stats so that he is LoL-ish. Yi kit seems to be one that is pretty easily balanced without scaling existing. but due to the ability to multiplicative scale everything about him, has no happy middle-ground.

So what you're saying is... Riot needs to introduce rapier?

Regardless of the validity of any particular argument, as a friend of Prince I can vouch for him not being a "troll". He may absolutely suck at internet arguing, capitalize worth shit, and be incoherent to the point of embarrassment but whatever he is arguing for he actually believes, meaning he doesn't just start shit for the sake of starting shit which is my definition of a "troll".

I'm fairly certain HotShotGG still wants to be a player while DanDinh mentioned coaching.
