Go on. Be negative. You'll be just my type. But guys, I just tried super splitpush Rengar top lane. It is the scariest shit I've ever seen. Tiamat and Bork gives Rengar the tools to do literally anything. Dives, 1v1, instant waveclear, amazing roaming, ability to 3-shot towers the moment the enemy laner leaves, and solid escapes. Seriously this is wrecking some diamonds that I'm being matched against right now.

Same with Sivir. I tend to have good success with Sivir in ranked because I learned how to play the game with her, and I was playing with my level 30 friends as I was leveling. So sure, I could pick Caitlyn into Vayne, but I'm trash with Caitlyn in comparison to Sivir. But again, only Silver III. Do I need to have a large pool of champions to be good at in case of counters? I mean, I'm good at 3 roles (for my level), but do I need a lot of champions? I feel like I spend too much time trying to learn all these champions, and I get overwhelmed with trying to learn them and I don't feel like I'm progressing, instead of when I was leveling and I basically only played Morgana, Kassadin, and Sivir. I want to get better but I've lost all my ranked games lately and I feel like it's because I'm always trying to counter something or prevent being counter picked. Mostly because my team complains if it happens when I go mid (they don't seem to care otherwise).

Then they pick an AD mid, Swain, or Cho (I don't first pick Kassadin, I swear). Sometimes they main the champion, like I main Kassadin, and I just accept that I'm underfarmed and underleveled. Then sometimes they don't, and with some careful play and jungle assistance, it goes in my favor and we end up winning because I have an idea of what to do with Kassadin (but I'm only Silver so I have a long way to go). Mostly because my team complains if it happens when I go mid (they don't seem to care otherwise). Speaking as a Bronze level mid player, counters mean diddly squat. People get far too hung up on counters. The amount of times I've seen people try to counter pick and get smashed is ridiculous. I play mostly Syndra and Zyra and people always try someone like Talon against that, but unless they play a lot of him, they don't get far. You're much better off playing a champ you know you can play well. If they whinge and moan, so be it. Chances are they were going to no matter who you played. Plus, it gives you the experience of playing safe vs someone who is at an advantage. It's really good practice CSing and not feeding while you're at a disadvantage.

I know someone who will always first pick katarina, get counter-picked by everyone on the enemy team, then still get super fed and pentakill multiple times. While counter picks are over rated. If the other person is equally skilled at said champ it becomes alot harder.

You can always "lose" lane and "win" game, laning phase is such a minor detail that rarely means anything unless you feed hardcore. Depends on your champion. With stuff like caitlyn if you don't win lane you gotta afk farm next 40 minutes to not be useless.
