It's a little better.

I mean, I know they live off of ads revenue, but I wouldn't take it off more than 5s a day for the click. It makes the layout pretty "oppressing" and way too crowded. I just use my browing history to go directly to a stream and look who's on from there tho.

I think I have got much better at this game just from reading this GD thread over the last few weeks. Hence my recent win streak. Just a quick question/observation... Has anyone else noticed the amount of boosters dramatically increasing around silver 1 / gold 5 mmr? It seems whenever I approach or am in the promo to gold there is always a plat V- II plus bronze I on my team or the other massively effecting the outcome of said games. Has anyone else noticed this (on EUW btw)? Also is there a TL channel on EUW? Hit me up on giarc89 if anyone wants to play! Yes, I've been facing a lot of Plat-Bronze duos in my recent ranked matches. The TL chat channel in EUW is LiquidParty Also something funny yesterday I was playing Ryze vs Nidalee and Nida walks towards bot I pinged 3 times that she's missing and said 'I can't follow her, no mana' she shows up bot 5 seconds later (they have no wards) and gets a kill on Cait and she's like 'Omg say ss', I told her that I pinged and she was like 'Omg report Ryze for no communication' telling me to type ss instead of ping. Laughed my ass off. "no ss" usually say people who are terrible at this game, i had situation when i wrote ss and mass pinged they still died and whine on chat "no ss", i told them to scroll chat he says it was too late (when timer clearly shows its fucking 20sec before they got ganked) at this point i was liek yea im not gonna argue with retards and muted them

But at the same time even D1/Challenger elo players can do really stupid things. All the Zed's I've seen in the last month have rushed bruta when it doesn't make any sense on him anymore (E CD being at 4s means you need 25% CDR to get 2 Es off during his ult, which is pretty much the only reason why you needed CDR in the first place). League is a pretty easy to understand game, and most ressources ARE around there : you can find every number and item description on tons of sites. Honestly the most I've learned about LoL I've learned it reading Leaguepedia. And there ARE sites with quality content. Solomid being the best, I think. If any of these resources actually stood out then they would be good. They stand out because we know of the significance of Solomid as a site. But if you're an average bronze/silver lowbie looking to improve and who has no knowledge of the professional scene, what at an intrinsic level makes Solomid stand out compared to something like Mobafire? To us, opinions and content on Solomid hold weight because of its association with a historically somewhat-successful professional team, but you have to KNOW that for Solomid to stand out. How do you actually *break into* the game to a point where you can even get started? It's totally different from Starcraft, where from day 1, TeamLiquid was the end-all-be-all place to go. So for someone who expects that, it's extremely disorienting how dispersed meaningful information about the game is. I'm not gonna lie, the first few guides I read about starcraft was on gamefaqs.com They advocated stuff like stopping zealot rushes with firebats

"Oh, an Ori ball, let's step on it!" Lolking's layout ain't that bad, it doesn't make its guides pretty obvious though (simplest way it to type the champion's name in the search section, then click on "Guides").

the dota inhouse scene is as developed as it is because of the lack of a functional casual league system, which league of legends has in contrast put a lot of emphasis on. it might be more productive to focus on leveraging TL's community as a resource to bring together players of a similar skill level with similar goals who can queue together - not because this is going to be better for them than inhouses against better players, but because this approach is more likely to result in lasting commitments. this isn't to say that this is the only thing that should be tried, but it would serve well as a focus

This is NOT normal. As XilDarkz said, it's the norm in every other game for there to be ways for people to find practice games with/against vastly better players to help them improve. There shouldn't be an expectation that you have to be good already for a high level player to be willing to play with you and teach you something. I KNOW that there are higher level players willing to teach, and lower level players willing to learn--but LoL simply doesn't have any avenues for this built in, and the community has failed to develop one for itself. USnip, if you're here, I know you were playing this game when TL LoL inhouses still involved a lot of the old "high-level" players (e.g. Uta, EzPz, etc. still playing in TL Inhouses) so I can't believe that you forgot that these happened. I disagree. The absurdity of asking for a group of players to want to be ranked 5's diamond/challengers, when he himself was only Silver II, should have said everything. Especially adding on to that; he expected 6 hour play time from people. it's the norm in every other game for there to be ways for people to find practice games with/against vastly better players to help them improve. I'd actually say it's more of a rarity than it is a "norm." Also, that's not to fucking say there aren't tools out there for him to learn. It's fucking LoL for god sakes. It's got high level players streaming 24/7; 4 websites regarding item builds for champions; VoDs are widely available (except China's, cuz fuck China), also got great TL articles, we got this GD (though harsh) provide plenty of great answers and thinking. Everyone here has started from scrub tier; most of us probably had the whole "why my team so bad? I got good score, why am I not winning?" Got to correct that type of thinking, before anything else. There shouldn't be an expectation that you have to be good already for a high level player to be willing to play with you Ideally, I agree. But this is the real world. Unless you're friends with high level players; chances are you're not going to get people to duo queue with you/teach lesson to you. That's the harsh truth.
