Adding to this, different amounts of base AD, creep damage masteries, or skills like spinning axes/Corki passive/impure shots/blighted quiver change the minimum amount needed to lasthit under tower early on for different champions

Yeah but it's mostly people just being lazy or not having enough rune pages/runes.Ad/ar/mr/2 lifesteal+ad is just THE standart.
It does on some champs.Can't really name all of em though.If you have a good support you could always just go 6% lifesteal too.

Well good supports are a crap shoot in soloQ. I normally run 15 AD runes on Ashe, Draven, Twitch and I'm looking to purchase the LS quints for them so I guess my real question is do I buy 4% LS or 6% LS.
I always thought the reason ADC went 15 AD in season 2 was because of the boots start. Now with Dblade starts you should be able to last hit under tower easily with just AD reds which is why the switch to different Quints became popular.

It seems pretty reasonable for Riot to want to move the community's language away from 'carry' as that has lots of implications for gameplay that don't have to apply. Marksman is an atrocious choice however.
How are people building Karma now? I don't demand lanes so rarely get to play her solo and feel like my bullying could be stronger with some TLoL pro-tips.
As someone who led/played in a hardcore raiding guild until the end of BC (when i quit and went cold turkey so don't ask me about anything after bc), there are many fights in BC or even Vanilla raids I remember fondly, but frankly AQ40 was both the best and the worst of times 
Some parts of the instance were so well done (Twin Emperors, the insane Wasp boss thingy etc.) others were just plain unfair when the instance came out (we spent 3 weeks wiping on C'thun before we finally admitted that he was unkillable and waited for the patch, killed him the day the patch came out in europe). Still even with the amount of wipes we did on that ass (and the recovery trains... we used to designate someone to put a follow on while everyone else went to smoke a zig) our guild never regretted it and considered hardcore vanilla raiding the best of times (even including the people who still play today).
Mechanically AQ40 really was the first "well done" raid with different mechanics on almost every single boss. Most of MC can be summed up as tank it and spank it, BWL had some gimmicks but mostly it was a gear check. Almost every raid after AQ40 was really pretty well done, including the BC stuff (even if Kael was a bitch of a fight to learn).
What surprises me about Wow and the lession other games should learn is that they seem to have missed the point what made WoW great. It wasn't the raiding, frankly EQ had much more hardcore raids at the start (it took nearly a year for BWL to come out if i remember it right, MC and onyxia really weren't that much content). What made WoW great was that every single starting zone and low level zone was fun. People who had spent a year or more in EQ were dumbfounded how fun it was to simply level a char in Wow. You didn't have to grind anything (even if it might have been the most efficient way to level) you had a ton of quests, and some of those quests were true jewels. Yes you had a shitload of kill 10 rats quests as well, but frankly you did most of those while passing by anyway.
Long story short Raiding in WoW was fun but pretty hardcore at the start. It didn't have anything to do with Vanillas success tbh. Maybe 5000 people in total cleared Nax in vanilla. What WoW did was make leveling and simply playing fun from level 1-40 (after that it became a bit grindier). Not a single MMO I played for a few days since then has managed to grip me properly in those early levels.

at the 3-5 minute mark, yes, it actually does for most ADCs with damage in the 47-50+3/level range.

I think it is a safe bet that people will be banning Udyr not because of how good the champ can be but because of all the people just wanting to play with the new skin and sucking ass at it...
