Aatrox is mad boring design though. Don't know if that's got to do with Morello though.

doesnt seem that boring to me
10/10 ill take a melee with weak trading but good sustain over a ranged who's impossible to do anything to unless he gets bored
aa trox having a huge jump and ranged farming seems like a cop out and riot seems to put them both on everyone now but the concept is good

Froggen doesn't give a fuck cause he gets 20k viewers anyway and says probably 3 words per hour, Wickd is boring and plays shen malphite and zac over and over as someone has mentioned, Yellowpete I barely see streaming anymore. Only Krepo is somewhat entertaining and makes an effort to interact with the viewers.
oh and snoopeh... yeah I don't watch his his stream.

Well I just hate his stupid revive mechanic so maybe biased.
edit: yes his concept is pretty cool. Shadowly demon that appears in wars and has a badass living sword. Pity none of his concept is shown in his actual skills though. That is the design i'm saying is boring.

Aatrox isn't boring design, one of the more interesting champions in my opinion. Tinkering with your passive takes a lot of thought at all points of the game.
His biggest weakness is probably the fact that he is atrocious at stacking his passive after reviving so he really doesn't do anything.

I tried for a while, when every game is literally an hour plus with them turtling the entire time i just sorta got to where i'd cut it off because i didnt wanna watch the same thing over and over.

i meant design concept. melee relying on high lifesteal and free GA so you have to time what you do to not get bursted so your useless but not be too late to go in because you have no burst
i think they gave him jump+ranged farm so they didn't have to get him odl warwick or old udyr level sustain to lane well. Right now you can save your burst till when he's low and wants to abuse his sustain so theres counterplay

Snoopeh doesn't seem to stream anymore. He was quite informative when he used to and his gentle attitude towards everyone was mind-boggling

The GA isn't free at all -.- You lose your main steroid(that makes you not be significantly worse than every other melee) and Aatrox has absolutely horrendous synergy with himself at low hp and 0 passive.
For example Zac is completely the opposite, he has brilliant synergy with his passive because at low hp he heals more and spends less hp on his skills.

what do you guys buy on aatrox? I usually go botrk first cause I think it's hands down the best item on him (lifesteal, atk speed, nuke+heal and sticking power with the active)
but after that no idea. Bt seems good but maybe lifesteal overkill? Mostof the time I get Hexdrinker or Randuins depending on enemy comp :\

With no passive? I've had plenty of those and always instadie.
I guess -you- have never tried stacking Aatrox's passive to full while at low hp. Try it sometime. That feel when you QE and gain 40 blood well is pretty amazing. You're pretty much forced to use your W damage to stack it and... you naturally kill yourself that way.
The point I'm making btw is that killing Aatrox once and triggering his passive is pretty much the same as killing him. He truly sucks at low hp without passive stacks, and he cannot stack them unless he takes like a minute in the jungle or whatever. You can just ignore him afterwards and win the teamfight.

having a low hp auto attack battle is precisely what he excels at, why would you ever complain about losing something like that, just save your ignite and some burst
nasus basically rapes every melee at 1v1 and nobody complains about him because he isnt new

So apparently Riot is working on a way to discourage 2v1 lane scenarios, especially among the pros. Why does Riot insist on changing the way the game is played to whatever it is they want?

I don't see how this can in any way be a bad thing. 2v1s were practically a cancer that made like 75% of the sololaners obsolete

a possibility of 2v1 lanes naturally benefits a solo top which is good at 1v2ing drasticially reducing the number of viable ones
same with duo lanes that favour 2v1ing
