Again, you are arguing on the assumption that somebody MUST play League of Legends to have fun. That it is the most fun thing, that it is worth the amount of crap you have to put through to play it. For some people that's true. For you, that's probably true. Just because it's not true for somebody else doesn't make them an irrational person, or immature, or egotistical, or thin skinned, or any of the other things that you guys are trying to argue. It just means they didn't think LoL was fun enough to be worth being harassed while they were playing it. What isn't sensible about that? Not at all.If I want to play league I'll play league. What people tell me is irrelevant. I'm saying you shouldn't let other people affect you with just some random words. I just don't understand how is someone calling you a fag or something make you want to stop playing? It's not a matter of being affected. It's a matter of willingly putting yourself in a position where you know it will happen to you in the first place. Just because somebody does not want to be put in that situation does not mean it is eating them up inside when they are in that situation. Here's another example. My brother and I do not get along. At all. Guy is a complete douchebag. But I'm more than capable of putting up with him on family outings when I have to, ignoring all his crap and still having a good time. But just because I'm CAPABLE of it doesn't mean I go out trying to visit him all the time. Of course I don't. If I'm going to go visit somebody, I can visit some friend who is actually a nice person and genuinely fun to hang out with without having to expend effort to not be offended by things. Basically in that example, your argument would be that because I chose to have lunch with Neo who lives in the same city as my brother, and didn't choose to go have lunch with my brother, that I am a weak person. That doesn't make any sense at all. That is not a good example at all. Those are people you know well.In league it's just random people. It's like you going to a football tournament and your opponent/teammate calling you names when they take the ball and you leaving when you wanted to play. You let some random fucktard affect you. Can't you just filter it out and do your thing? This is a really horrible metaphor, let me fix it for you:
It's like you going to some football tournament and your opponent/teammate calling you names when they take the ball and you have a choice, either listen to them and let some random fucktard affect you or press a button in your mind that will permanently mute him and make it so that you can't hear them.
Can't you just filter it out and do your thing? Yes, PRESS THE MUTE BUTTON.

I think it's a good match-up for me if I don't get cheesed level 1 like that, but it's kind of similar to like the vs Darius match-up where even with a lead you can mess up and die really easily. What's the thought behind your build, seemed a bit silly. Cheesed at level 1? I just ignited you for the kill... And the thought behind my build is that if it isn't a 4v5 because our mid DC'd I would have been split pushing with tanky aatrox. We almost won the 4v5 but if we had a fifth member it would have been about 5x as effective. I almost got a kill on you guys 1v3 multiple times with the build, it's strong. DBlade start + waiting in the bush is pretty cheesy. Obviously I shouldn't have died though, wasn't respecting your passive at all. Sunfire seems like a weird item to get for splitpushing when you don't need it to clear, since it will aggro tower if someone's there. I'm interested in everyone's opinion though, do most agree that no ward starts on melee top laners is cheese? You basically die if the enemy jungler decides to gank. Cheese is doing something completely unconventional. Killling your opponent is a completely viable and well accepted strategy. Don't really agree with your definition. Almost everyone would agree that 4pool is cheese, but it's not unconventional at all. Cheese is just high risk / high reward stategy that relies heavily on surprise / the opponent reacting poorly. Starting without a ward is gambling that the enemy jungler won't gank you, because most laners will die from full HP if they're past the middle of the lane and get ganked. edit: waiting in the bush isn't cheese, that's just normal play (although you wouldn't be there if Ryze was connected). I'm talking about DBlade start. Dude I've been playing Aatrox for a while and he's really strong, here is my reasoning for starting Dblade:
1) I run lifesteal quints and with Dblade + quints + w I can sustain forever 2) I have an escape mechanism that's on a 10 second cooldown plus flash 3) It allows me to bully my opponent out of lane with damage when I land my knockup 4) It allows me to get ahead of my opponents who have to start sustain and wards because their champ is not as strong as mine early 5) If my opponent makes any kind of mistake it allows me to all-in easier
I don't see the point in opening wards when I have such good escapes/a revive and I don't see the point in opening sustain when I have it. Dblade is the best opening I've found on Aatrox, and you can call it cheese all you want, but I think that's more you having a problem with strong openings than it is me trying to cheat the game.

I mean I used it to almost win a 4v5 against you guys

I don't think we were ever at much risk of losing, although you would have won if you had Ryze.

A doran's start top lane with a built in escape is not cheese.

Let me qualify that--their Draven ulted and stole baron from cross map after we hooked 3 members of their team for picks. Our Lee didn't smite it. Our team was ezpz/me/gracken420/whatsupchan with Haltazel dc'd.
The score was even for the entire game and we were about to take a baron. It was a 4v5.

Just from reading the chat, I'm assuming teemo walked from blue to top lane through river and got ambushed & killed, despite knowing Aatrox is stronger at level 1, and not knowing where jungler started. That's bad play, not cheese.
I can understand walking through that bush if you're like darius or panth who can rape people at level 1 with fast reactions. Not as a teemo who wins lanes through attrition and generally gets owned if a bruiser can sit on him.
Also Dblade first top is not cheese. It's a risk, but not cheese.

I wouldn't start dblade anymore on Panth top. But on somebody like Aatrox? Sure. I'd even go ward-less on Irelia and not call it a cheese when the enemy jungler has predictable first clear/gank path (+ generally having a ward won't save my ass if I'm unable to properly react to it, even when I know for sure that the jungler's coming).

I can't tell you how many free kills I've gotten doing a red->blue start on a "standard" jungler.

Does Kassadin straight up hard counter Annie at 6? Like I killed the guy twice before he was 6 and had the CS lead. But after that he could just RQE at me then walk away during the silence duration.
Only having blind pick normals on AU atm seems like a bit of a mixed bag. The ping is nice but you can't see certain champs coming.

Never played that matchup (used to play Annie), but I can't imagine it being easy due to what you said. I think the best bet is try and read his body language to predict the Riftwalk. If you can drop Tibbers right where he lands, he's screwed. I do realize that's absurdly hard however.

Ward everything. People tend to develop patterns and you should be able to predict their route.
However, if he's ganking you out of the fog, that's nothing Annie specific, he can do that to anyone if you don't see it coming.
On a random tangent, anyone tried Maokai in 3.8? Got to imagine not much changed, which is sad, I miss playing the tree man.
