In mid you take advantage of the fact that Quinn is a ridiculously strong roamer so you can get ezpz ganks off on bot lane or top lane and once you have 6 Quinn is really good at invading enemy jungle or defending her own jungle.
In top you're just abusing the fact that ADCs in general have really favorable match ups against a lot of top laners. With that said there are some tops who absolutely ruin Quinn. In either solo lane she's more of a counter-pick than a first pick.
In bot lane your blind is pretty OP. Your ability to win trades with E->auto->Q->auto is sick but lots of supports can fuck you over. At level 6 she has one of, if not the, strongest all-ins for bot lane imo.
There's a thread for Quinn on TL though. I think she's under valued but I dunno if she has much of a place in the current meta other than as a specific counter-pick. She's definitely a niche champion right now no matter what lane you're talking about but she does function fairly reliably as an ADC (I don't play enough top/mid Quinn to know if she's very reliable in those roles).

Man, I'm really jealous you can play quinn top well. I fell in love with quinn after considering her a complete joke for the longest time, but she so much fun and so strong when you manage to get even the tiniest edge on your opponents. Every time I've tried to play her top I just end up getting completely wrecked, behind a kill/levels, and unable to do anything for the rest of the game though

You'd think Quinn would be more popular than she is, considering that she has all the makings of a solo queue hero. She can duel well and initiate duels on her own, roam well, split-push well, carry well and be played in all three lanes. She's even a lane bully in a lot of them and has a lot of snowball potential.

It's one of those "why play this when there are easier champions?" issues, I think.

Don't forget how easy it is to push lanes deep and get away safely.

just played vs an aatrox and he feels really toxic to play against. that revive is a pain in the ass when you can't do anything but wait for him to come back, comes up faster than pretty much any revive skill ( aatrox 225 anivia 240 zac 300). i also think i had a glitch where he was still attacking me while he was reviving. some stupid stuff.
|
My only experience against an Aatrox involved a Nautilus camping the crap out of me when I was Renekton, and despite the Aatrox getting like 6 kills early, I still had kill potential on him 1v1 (he wasn't building stupidly either). He did blow up our Vayne 1v1 (who was pretty fed) though.
If my team can feed you 9 kills (well, mostly me to be honest haha), and I'm still not afraid of you, that's kind of sad.

I played once again Aatrox top yesterday and I left the game mid way to drink something with friends... I'm not proud of it, but laning against that thing was completly retarded to me. He just push lane nonstop, regen while hitting minions, I harass him to no end and he never goes bellow 25%.

The weakness of that skill is that he loses his attack speed buff, I guess. He can't really do much after using his ult and without the bonus attack speed.
The truly retarded thing about his passive isn't the revive at all, it's the free 50% aspd.

Nunu, WW, Vlad, Zac, Trundle, and Cho (and Shen I guess) all pretty much get to the point where they cannot be removed from lane unless they're shit at managing their mana. And sure, Aatrox has no mana so that doesn't apply to him, but the point still stands. Sustain laners have been around forever.

Was forced to, felt bored. Vlad is way easier to lane against tho. His sustain is nowhere near Aatrox's. Same for Cho and Zac. For the others, I've never laned against so I don't know.

difference to me is that he plays a different role late game. nunu ends up supporting, vlad ends up being a high damage low cc character, ww doesn't do much, cho is just a cc bot, etc etc aatrox is a just as annoying version of trynd with a lot of sustain in lane and can carry late

Hecarim+Fiddle+Cho is so gross.

Ive Riven vs aatrox twice now and its the easiest matchup I have.

That doesn't really say much though...

Well considering people still ban him just so your team doesn't pick it I'd say it says a lot lol.

I played against an aatrox top with nunu and we just didn't fight at all :\, we were both healing faster then our poke and jungler left us alone
