Looks like we're back to status quo. Hope more of you lurkers unburrow and talk with us. :3 If you have any issues or comments about the new design, feel free to PM Neo. |
Sample of T2 Viktor Augments I was brainstorming:
T2 Power: Using Q grants tenacity, as well as steals armor/MR from target
T2 Gravity: W additionally removes/reduces CC on allies and makes them immune while in it (think stationary black shield)
T2 Death: Increases E speed/range/length (or something like that, hard to think up cool things for an already ridiculously strong ability)
edit: also, having the ability to change your augment path (at least once) should be something they implemented a long fucking time ago.
"Adapt or be removed"...except your locked into one path once you chose it...

Holy crap, I tried Nami cause she's free week. I had low expectations because everyone I know calls her trash, but damn I love her. She's super strong, great peel, great disengage. I think she's actually a top-tier support after the buffs

Meanwhile I still don't see who would open with Doran Shield. You can only start with 1 pot and a Doran Shield for 100hp, 10hp/5, and -8 dmg from champion auto attacks. It can't be compared to Rejuv+5pots+Ward since you don't get the ward, so the only comparison is Cloth+5pot which is 15 armor and more regen, while building into at least Tabi (b/c let's face it, if you need to start Doran Shield you will be building Tabi).
I see very few situations where this would be attractive, unless you're somehow going to be in lane for like 8 levels without a ward. Or something like Shen vs Kennen where you'll be eating auto attacks the whole way through lane.

Doran's shield would be a great starting item for some supports...if they didnt need to buy so many wards.
Edit, and why not just play Viktor with like Koggles. Safest backline NA.

The problem with shield it seems hard to justify getting it before philo or sightstone; and by the time you do get sightstone it feels too late to get dshield.

No, it's fine, lol.
I dislike the removal of Malady, mostly because it rubs me the wrong way how they gutted the item going into S3 in the first place, then complain about the item not being good enough. Numerically, S2 Malady was actually situationally good for any champ with inherent on-hit magic damage (Teemo, Kog-maw, etc.). It scaled poorly but had some pretty damn powerful midgame timings.
Riot killed the item's function in S3 by reducing the raw damage and making it AP-reliant (ruining those timings)--reason being champs with raw magic damage on-hit that benefits from Malady are quite common, but champs with AP-scaling magic damage on-hit that actually buy a bunch of AP are rare.

The problem I have with the new Doran Shield is more for top laners. You still won't realistically open with it, and it feels worse than the old Doran Shield as a first buy on a trip back since you lose the armor.
It's still good for supports vs an all-in lane though, like yango said.

I don't think anyone on TL calls her weak. She is just somewhat niched and really hard to play.

Just delay Sightstone and buy pinks instead. Ed Ward style.
I'd say philo too but that's going to start a gp10 discussion.
|
It's not even a gp10 discussion.
Are you constantly at risk of getting all-in'd and die?
Y -> Don't buy Philo, you dumbass. N -> Buy Sightstone if you can afford it, if not then buy Philo and some wards.
Voila.

I want to know if all inny mid laners like Fizz will start opening dorans ring +2 pots.

could be good on any mage where dorans rings are good options. Ahri, TF, Morgana, Fizz, Annie, Diana, LeBlanc off the top of my head.

Ok just got 6500 IP. Wanting to buy a new champ and I've narrowed it down to a couple.
Jayce, Khazix, Zed, Zac, Varus, Leona (4800ip), Thresh, or Hecarim.
I don't have a major role I play over others just kinda fill. I've only played Leona of those listed and I know Khazix is getting a major nerf next patch. I do think I'm best at the Jungle > Mid/Top/Support > ADC.
Who to get TL LoL?!

Just thinking, thoughts on Nashor's tooth tf after the change? sounds like it could be quite strong with the new E

New khazix has absurd single target damage. As a sona player, I'm really sad about the W nerfs Also "Fixed a bug where Thresh could cast Flash while casting Death Sentence" takes away Thresh's sickest play.

I always that was intentional; it should still stay there, it's a "high risk high reward" play. Also if they gunna do this why not do it to shen's taunt?

Who to get TL LoL?! If you play fill, you should get some support because chances are you never have chances to fill adc or mid or top or something lol.
Leona and Thresh are always welcomed.

I play support the least out of any role. I also prefer anything but support. When I said I play to fill I really meant I'm not going to troll my team and pick what I want if that spot is taken or we need a role when I'm last pick lol.
Don't know if it matters but I usually only play rank (Gold 2) or ARAM.

Hoorah for the corki bug fix. That shit made him completely unplayable when a full third of your missiles would fizzle.
Khazix changes make him far more vulnerable. Good.
Targeted wall-jump abilities now check both sides of the wall for the closest location of the cursor, so players don't fail-jump into a wall, when the other side was clearly in range. Nice change.
We've improved consistency for abilities that behaved inconsistently when the targeted enemy uses Flash. We’re cleaning up these interactions so that either the ability won’t cast or Flash won’t be used up (it will be one or the other, never both). Hoorah, no more wasting shit.
