Razer keyboards are really bad as are the headsets. I personally wouldn't get any gaming headsets apart from the Sennheiser PC-350 which is superb in every way. All the popular ones like Siberian are just really really bad.
Personally, I've never had a problem with the razer blackwidow(not the ultimate one). Granted, I only bought it at the time because I didn't want to be patient/wait for a better deal to come around. I don't regret the purchase as I got it for the normal price of a regular mech keyboard(around 60$). I wouldn't recommend the keyboard unless it was on sale. You can find much better mechanical keyboards nowadays for around that price. Tenkeyless is quite good. I don't know which keyboards you are referencing, but can say that the blackwidow is well made. It's also fairly sturdy, and the weight feels right to me.
Blackwidow is pretty much the worst-made mech keyboard. Just because the worst mech keyboard is still... not awful doesn't mean that you shouldn't get something else. Blues also are imo the worst switch for gaming which doesn't help.

My DeathAdder has the problem with double click too while my friend one(we bought them together) has no problem at all. My current mouse is the 3rd mouse I bought from Raze, first one was a Salmosa which I still use for my laptop, the second Salmosa died after like 2 months. Imo, Razer's product is nicely designed and really nice to use but they don't have the highest quality and tends to break or some symtoms of breaking after just a few months. But the price is ok though, ideally I want my mouse to last at least a year or so before I have to buy a new one.
I probably still replace my mouse after a year even the last one has no problem cos I like shiny things
For keyboard, I stay away from those Western brands keyboard as much as possible(Razer, Steelseries etc) Got my FILCO mechanical keyboard 2 years ago and never looked back. High quality as hell and is a treat to use.
WASD keyboard for me(checkerboard w/blues), and then a logitech MX518(3rd, and probably last one) on a razer scarab mousepad. For my laptop MX anywhere.
Works well enough for me. I'll probably look towards getting a new mouse in the near future, been using a 518 for almost 10 years now starting with my CS days.
EDIT: also cutting the cord is a good tactic for most people, but for me I'd just solder it back together afterwards with new connectors(~$2 each)

Well that just makes you untrustworthy and a scumbag towards a company willing to not bother you with shipping charges and sending you a replacement item with no problem... :D
Not that i dont know people who have done it anyways considering its garbage if you dont

Blues are somewhat annoying to game on; but I prefer them significantly over other switches for typing.
Also, why do people donate so much money to streamers O.o? A dude donated 90bucks to dan dinh. Wutdafuq?

My setup: Das professional silent (MX browns) Logitech G400 Razer Scarab mousepad
G400 has the nasty disconnecting USB problem though that's plagued a lot of the logitech mice for years now but I love the kidney shape that logitech has. In a year or so I might switch to the next version of the logitech (g400s or 500s) but it's doubtful I'd ever jump ship without a major reason to.
Oh man. I took a glance of the patch notes for the newest dotapatch... and i realize how easy and straight forward hero abilities are in lol.... there are no silly exceptions, special cases, and jargons. I wonder how a player with no experience in wc3 can understand how dota works.

i'm pretty sure boxer played with an old keyboard made in the 90's during his bw days. I think he changed to mechanical in sc2.
Although blues aren't that great for gaming, it is like the most popular mech keyboard among gamers, kinda ironic.

Mm for just typing my favorites are Topre electrostatic capacitive switches by a long distance, followed by Buckling springs. Blues do come after that though, followed by browns. Reds aren't exactly bad though. I hate blacks and they decimate my hands.
Topres are my favorite for gaming as well by the way.
Topre keyboards are way too expensive for me at the moment although I'd love to try them. The engineer in me can see how they probably feel from diagrams and specifications but having one to try for a weekend would be amazing.

What the? He's crying over $500 (edit: Ignore this part I just saw it was a series of donations)? Some of the more famous WoW streamers have had over $10-20k donated to them (in a single donation). That being said it's nice to see that... hard to express but.. he cares so much about the community allowing him to stream full-time? if that makes sense
ive had a blackwidow stealth for about a year and a half and no issues with it. had the regular one but blues were too noisy, so i went with the browns instead.
