I always thought the cramps thing was BS but I recently got them after using my Steelseries Ikari for long periods. I figured what the hell, I'll try switching mice to see if that really helps and yeah it went away for real. Oddly enough, I've really liked my ikari. no real issues. My favorite mouse is still the razer diamondback, had the best feel, and button setup for me. However, it broke after a year. My steel series ikari though, has been pretty good, I've had it for 2 years already.
Also, spellsy gets scarra's viewers, but is drunk streaming. lol.

I have a Deathadder, it's freaking amazing.
Also, how the hell does Wildturtle constantly hold Rank 1 and 2 in Challenger? Like, I don't get how someone can roll a new account and make it to the top of the ladder so quickly :S

Been looking at the Deathadder at work for awhile. My mouse button is double clicking sometimes and I can't control when it happens. Employee discount makes it like $40. Just gotta get fed up with my old mouse enough before I buy it though lol.

My DeathAdder developed that defect within 3 months.

Just wait for the TSM DeathAdder to come out. Because everyone loves TSM the most.

Do Eeet. Deathadder too good. Mine has a bit of a problem though, the rightside is a bit loose, it creaks and pops n shit if i push it in with my thumb, theres also a "big" gap imbetween the button and the black plastic. The mousewheel creaks too if i move it slowly and also looks like its wonky.
Im pretty sure ive dropped it at some point and damaged it though i cant remember. Still a fucking epic mouse.
@ Craton, did u return it for a new one? they asked me to just cut the cord on my old gear and happily sent a new one with no trouble.
Razer support is pretty decent really, and the 1 year garuntee is perfect for their faulty shit, chances are if ur gear lasts longer then that, you got one of their good batches

No, I didn't bother. I already hated the thing and didn't want to spend the money on shipping.
Speaking of TSM, they use the Corsair k60 keyboard (which I also happen to have), which has a known, common defect involving key ghosting. It was firmware patched for the k90, but never the k60. It's a shame because it completely ruins an otherwise good keyboard.
I also made the mistake of a Razer headset. It's horrendous. Never again will I touch anything Razer.

I give them 4 months max.

Is it just me, or does KDA have zero correlation with Win %?
Everyone assumes that a high KDA just means you win a lot, but atleast personally, its almost opposite. My Highest KDA is on Ezreal, but I'm like the worst AD carry in the world. I have 19 games played on Ez, only a 36.8% winrate and a KDA of 6.6.
On the otherhand, my two greatest winrate champions are Pantheon and XinZhao with over 40 games played on each. Pantheon I have a 69.2% winrate and a 2.5 KDA, and on Xin I have a 72.7% winrate and a 2.8 KDA.

Only reason they use that keyboard is because they were/are sponsored by them:

Craton #1 e-sports supporter. Don't see any other reason to actually buy a razer headset.

Both Razer Salmosa and Abyssus have worked really well for me.. Salmosa had a "problem" with the clicks being too loud, Abyssus hasn't had any problems apart from the scroll wheel being too sensitive sometimes... probably something to do with the drivers. The mouse itself is wonderful though, definitely my favorite out of all the mice I've tested.
Razer keyboards are really bad as are the headsets. I personally wouldn't get any gaming headsets apart from the Sennheiser PC-350 which is superb in every way. All the popular ones like Siberian are just really really bad.

Personally, I've never had a problem with the razer blackwidow(not the ultimate one). Granted, I only bought it at the time because I didn't want to be patient/wait for a better deal to come around. I don't regret the purchase as I got it for the normal price of a regular mech keyboard(around 60$). I wouldn't recommend the keyboard unless it was on sale. You can find much better mechanical keyboards nowadays for around that price. Tenkeyless is quite good. I don't know which keyboards you are referencing, but can say that the blackwidow is well made. It's also fairly sturdy, and the weight feels right to me.

I also made the mistake of a Razer headset. It's horrendous. Never again will I touch anything Razer. Gaming headsets are always shit; not just Razer's headset. It's almost always better to get audiophile headphones with a separate mic; like a Sony MDR-V6, with a cheap 10 dollar mic.
As far as keyboards are concerned; most mechanical keyboards are very solid choice for gaming; especially black, browns, and reds. Right now using CM Storm Quickfire TKL blues. But I used to use a unicomp buckling spring, before it broke; and I must say, buckling springs are fucking amazing.
|
I knew all that before I got it; it's mostly just that it's really uncomfortable and I didn't want to spend the time looking around at them. It was $60, but is worth about $20. I have a separate directional mic that works well but is a pain to use.
