Yi literally does no damage to you. You can't outroam him anyway. If he wants to hard push you, free farm at turret and be more useful lategame while ensuring you ping MIA.

Ever since his W got nerfed, it has been a lot easier to face him in lane - I usually just bring a lot of potion and just survive the laning phase. It is possible to all-in him provided you see an opening, but you have to be able to be at relatively full health to seize such opportunity. Of course, if this is too hard, you can always play Mordekaiser.... Morde will huehueroll over AP Yis like no tomorrow. | ||

Sometimes it's just better to shove out the lane; and farm wraiths instead. Can always play out lane like Froggen, and just exert so much lane pressure mid that either the enemy misses out on a fuckton of farm by roaming, or they're forced to stay in lane. Either way, you win out the lane. | ||

You'll be behind in CS and get outroamed if you are at your tower all game. If you shove as hard you can take wraithcamps to get ahead/stay even, or pressure mid tower when Yi leaves. Orianna should be safe enough without a maxed shield against Yi, she can farm from a pretty good distance. Just gotta watch out for early all-ins from Yi with a charged up double strike. | ||

Yeah, simpler solution would simply be something like a golem/wraith camp spawning there while the buff is gone, and if those are there when the buff would respawn, they turn into the buff. If not, the buff spawns. Generally speaking, there should be more stuff in the jungle, making a good clear more advantageous. At the moment you basically just want an ok-clear, after that killing the jungle creeps faster gets diminishing results very quickly. | ||

Mordekaiser has far worse ganks of course, some of the weakest out of all midlaners. Nocturne's ganks are far stronger. I don't think Mordekaiser is really that strong and he needs to be constantly pushing, being vulnerable to ganks. Nocturne can play a lot more carefully when necessary. Nocturne also has some real kill potential on Yi whereas Mordekaiser doesn't. | ||
