Tthe new unofficial PBE notes are up on reignofgaming, complete with balance changes (Thresh Q passive moved to E), poro secret (part of the new aram map), and hints at ashe/lissandra/sej quests similar to rengar/khazix. Oh yeah Olaf is from Frerljord too, didn't see that coming... Moving the passive to E is interesting, now you don't get the absurd poke and the short CD on the hook. Makes sense on paper.

Sure, it's almost decent (not too hard since it's basically pasting the Norse warrior culture), but we could do without a friggin' quarter of the roster coming from the damn Freljord. You never hear in their lore about how Singed works as a mercenary and a Zaunite, nor about how Janna went from Zaun to Piltover nor what she does for them. You never hear about the connections of about 80% of the champions to "their" city-state unless they're part of its military or needed for some corny part, and then suddenly they just shoehorn so many champions into Frejold's great quest and prophecies and stuff. It's like Dyrus thinking he'll improve by reducing his champion pool even further. Training did him much better than that decision. IronStylus: I don't think Pantheon can simply be some dude dressed as a spartan forever, waging endless war for not a whole lot of reason. I think he needs to be something more, someone who can be on equal footing as the ladies of the peak. Pantheon is super exciting territory, I feel. He has so much possibility. Fuck. This. Shit. Inb4 he actually becomes generic rather than the quite-generic-but-it-works-because-he's-a-caricature he is now.

In theory it seems like you should be okay, cause you can silence his meditate, and if he moves back to meditate you can jump in to interrupt him. So I was maxing E in order to save my q, but there's not enough spell casts pre-6 in order to really do damage to him. I couldn't really do anything except hope he all-ins me and take him down with W + passive procs and q when he meditates. But if he only harasses me, it feels like pre-6 I'm completely neutered vs him. AP yi can farm even in 1v2 lane, it's fine that you can't do nothing to him.

You get way too angry over everything, I don't get why lore is in any way relevant or important to anyone. Then again, a friend had to explain the Diablo 3 lore to me at a point where I already beat Belial on inferno. Does anyone run magic pen quints? Thinking of picking a set up, mainly for Katarina.

I run Magic Pen on Elise only. Annie too if I played her.

Saint may not be great with words, but he is right. How can you say you are doing your best to improve when as a professional player (READ IT IS YOUR FULL TIME JOB) when you lose every lane, and as a professional player are platinum? I dunno, I think Elementz is a cool guy but he needs to preform better, or atleast put in an effort. Whole situation not handled in best way, but honestly you need to be better than that.

As for my choice of words, well "fuck this shit" kinda conveys my reaction better than "I have a bad feeling about this". Facepalming would also be more accurate than a raised brow, but that doesn't mean I actually facepalm in front of my screen. x) You'd be surprised by how many people care about lore, though. To explain it to somebody who says he doesn't care about lore... let's say it's kinda like the "official take", on the same level as memes and stuff you can get? Pantheon is "SPARTAAA", Blitz is "beep-boop fuck the turret", Trundle is "the troll", Talon is "the assassin"... but then their lore and judgement are sort of an extension on that. And well-written/original/coherent/etc. lore can also just stand as such and make you think "hey, that's neatly wrapped up" when you read it (even if you wouldn't read it normally). I'm actually not a fan of the DotA lore because the characters' background kinda just add a new place every time they need to explain where the newest hero comes from, and love to use unclear, esoteric words to say "some stuff happened, sometimes magic, sometimes in his mind, so now... he's different!". The lack of ties also makes it a lot less compelling, so I never bothered with it. I'll also admit that I'm a sucker for politics and stuff, and the lore the way Riot started doing it actually gave a lot of potential to Valoran's world and setup, what with the League's regulations, interferences, the mass of conflicting interests and all the PR and propaganda involved, so I'm a bit saddened everytime they oversimply/bastardise it/make it cheesy. The Kalamanda arc (all the stuff that led to the release of the Dominion mode, going from conspirations to almost war and Noxus becoming leaderless) had some bad bits but was generally something I greatly enjoyed. Edit: also Neo is a bad person, implying he plays Elise.

I dunno, its a commitment to the team thing. If you not doing your best, then you dont deserve to be on a team striving to be the best. Doesn't matter what it is. It isn't even like Saint calling him out is unreasonable. Hell, NHL/NFL/Any pro sport player that comes to camp out of shape or out of practice will be ridiculed and out of a job. If Elementz really isn't researching or trying to improve, he doesn't deserve to be on a pro team. Simple as that. An example of this in real sports is Dustin Penner of the LA Kings, came to camp out of shape and has spent season in press box. Coach called him out on it in media, said he out of shape. Same thing, that not Sutter being a dick, that a team wanting to be the best holding its team accountable.

When I started playing I completely forgot what random item they made me buy in the tutorial, as soon as I started battle training (STAY BEHIND YOUR MINIONS!) Besides, if you are going to make a completely new player who might not have any mechanics fight a master yi that has no items, what one item do you make them buy to ensure they win?
