Monkey couldn't get to late game

Monkey is all-in champion. Can't walk around and eat so much free harass like that. Lvl 1 fight was also bad.

Really? You're disappointed that a 1v1 isn't a realistic scenario... Its possible for Top to become an "island duel" in some situations. We can at least get information from that. A top taking exhaust ignite will never happen.

Individual skills like mechanics, general game sense, understanding of champions, reaction time, and the ability to visualize plays before they happen will trump out. In short, is solo queue important? For the established players. not at all. For the amateur players, absolutely. Related note: Unless Elementz is a golden god of communication and shot-calling I can't imagine Curse would be worse off with a myriad of other supports. That post goes against pretty much what every professional player or competitive TLer has said. WildTurtle was a soloq god if you paid attention to streamed soloq but he's said in interviews that in arranged play he mostly has 0 clue what he needs to do. Ranked 5s is infinitely superior to ranked soloq in terms of developing an amateur competitive scene. Beyond basic mechanics, the skills involved in winning games are pretty different. WildTurtle is a really good player. When he says that he has zero clue in arranged play he is over-exaggerating. Already, replacing Chaox with the Turtle has partly helped TSM's resurgence in the LCS. This comes as no surprise if you play with these players and see how they perform even if it is just solo queue. In time, I see no reason why WildTurtle can't become one of the best competitive players... because he got the tools he needed from solo queue. After all, how did the old CLG get formed back when they were THE team to beat, they were players at the top of the ladder who regularly played against each other in solo queue. Ranked 5s are invaluable for amateur players, yes. But my point is more that if you play Ranked 5s with players who are below Diamond (even this might be generous), you are wasting your time. Invariably, players who are below Diamond I have individual flaws to their play that cannot be fixed just by playing in an arranged environment. If, for example, low ranked players made a ranked 5s team and got to high elo as a ranked team, then no doubt they would individually achieve high elo in solo queue provided that they take solo queue seriously and play their best roles/champs. The skills involved in winning games are different, but not to the embellished degree that people seem to think; after all, it is the same game. It doesn't matter how good your team play is if you get stomped in lane because your individual mechanics don't compare to a pro's. If you were to watch a high elo solo queue game where everyone is in a mood to tryhard, and is playing their best roles/champs, it can be as educational as watching an LCS game. lol, have you played ranked 5s? even at ranked 5s silver level, the games are extremely difficult and tougher than anything i've played in league. just because you play arranged doesn't mean you don't learn mechanics. if anything you learn them better because arranged teams know how to take advantage. no more of this crap like "blitz pulled and the AD didn't respond" or "support didn't buy wards." it's really tough, it's really tense, and you'll quickly learn the difference between bad calls and good calls. my friends roflstomp bot lanes in duo q/normals, can't do that in ranked 5s as often because most of the botlanes are smart enough not to fall for their tricks. i played a solo q game yesterday for the first time in a long time and it was an awful experience. because of elo decay i'm in silver 5 and i got matched with a bunch of bronzies. there are things that i did with friends that i just took for granted; the ability to group and plan for dragons or siege towers, controlling how the lanes push in mid game, asking for wards in key spots, using the buddy system when clearing wards and protecting oracles, doing a proper baron dance, etc. instead what happens is that i get monstrously fed because i developed mechanics in arranged 5s + team normals, then watch the advantage slip away as no one knows how to play the team game and everyone fights over trivial shit like the jungler arguing with the mid over blue buff, and no one knows how to group and people are getting caught on both teams. it's pretty obvious which is the better atmosphere for developing your skills, whether it's individual skills or team skills, ranked 5s teaches you way more than solo q.
