I think its mostly psychological because when I started viewing him as "op" becuse of how FoTM he got I started doing a lot worse and then the nerfs came and he started to feel underwhelming. I think if you ever think a champ is OP you can get a bit too cocky and be less critical and precise in your play so I think xin is probably still very good. However he is still snowbally in that you can't fall behind on him or he's too squishy to do anything. (udyr is the same but he can absorb a lot more poke and if you can't engage anyway that gives him some advantage, and he's a lot harder to kill early game than xin) | ||

I know you can do better. talking about udyr there seems to be a recent rise of udyrs in solo queue on EUW and he has a very high win ratios, atleast in my games :D I see people building him really tanky with swiftness boots+slow reduction (from masteries?)+spirit of the ancient golem for tenacity. He quickly becomes a tanky speedy gonzales which is really really annoying, in all my games those udyrs escaped at like 100hp every fight, too hard to finish him and you can't really ignore him either. | ||

i was mostly wondering because i have an abysmal jungler pool which is not good when you play the jungler role on your arranged 5s team, and i thought that if i expanded my pool we can run better team comps. but after i bought xin i saw no one use him after that, so i didn't even try him out. Maknoon is a top laner where teams almost always 2v1 or apply jungle pressure because of how aggressive he is in a standard 1v1. I think in a straight up 1v1 Maknoon should beat Shy but that doesn't mean Maknoon would be a better candidate for All-Stars than Shy. Also wouldn't be surprised if Shy declines the challenge. | ||

For me it's something like Talon (could change it to "mid" in general, I never get it anymore >>), Pantheon (gg power creep and people learning to gank earlier) and AD carries (Sivir/Graves easily screwed in lane and scale badly, Draven super fun but dem mechanics too hard). Mid's probably the role that leaves me the most unsatisfied, because a bunch of bruisers have similar roles/mechanics (most of what I learned on Irelia transfered to Jax and in to a lesser extend to Olaf when I picked them up), same could be said of some junglers, for example the build/style with identical outlines for a bunch a "tanky support early ganker double gp5" junglers in s2, AD carries have close mechanics due to relying on the same role (autoattacking when you're not MF) and there isn't that many of them. Supports can be very wide, but same as AD there isn't that many of them. Mids on the other hand, and particularly AP mids (I tend to prefer to play Wukong/Panth top, and I dislike the design behind Zed/Kha'Zix too much to play them), have a wide variety of roles, playstyles, and orientations to pick from, simply having a look at Orianna, Veigar, Diana gives us three vastly different champions, Annie doesn't play the same as Viktor at all, Morgana LeBlanc and Karthus all have entirely different roles, laning, powercurves from each other... and I often feel like their kits implement the weirdest and often most intriguing ideas. It gives you much more work to learn the mechanics and playstyles associated with each, but unless you're the kind that only likes to play agility carries in DotA there should be at least one mid champ that suits your tastes. | ||
