Locket change isn't really a nerf. Its cost went down by a gold amount equal to 95 HP in value, while the item lost 100 HP. The cost-efficiency is more or less unaffected--it's slightly smoother to buy while being slightly less slot-efficient as well.

This patch feels like two things to me:
1) Buff ADs by nerfing all sorts of things that are strong against them (Armor on abilities and levels, Warden's, Ground Slam).
2) "We really, really would like it if you bought Philo, Mercurial, and Zephyr."

Yeah, played against a Quinn that our horrendous botlane fed... oh God. She just ran to Caitlyn and if he stayed in range to get hit (he was horrible so that would happen often) he'd just get aa->E->aa'd and then Quinn would automatically win the trade because having set up her passive on Cait on top of all the burst she does means she'll win. That shouldn't happen obviously. But when that guy let it happen...
Having that passive on you is annoying. As the jungler, Quinn was fed and had a Zeal so she ran faster than me, if the passive marked me I'd have to run immediatly or she'd try to hit me rather than the tower, and immediatly E->aa again. Half of my health gone... Looks like she would be able to snowball really hard against an inferior opponent thanks to the base damage and AD ratio on her passive if given an early kill. Then again, Caitlyn, MF, Draven probably snowball harder.
And she def seems like a splitpusher rather than a teamfighter to me.
Edit: oh, I may have asked that in the past already, but what does your signature mean, Yango?
Jarvan isn't buffed, who said that? The base stat buff counters (partially) the nerf to his Standard, which also loses the armour aura. They violated Singed too, wow. LeBlanc is... wut. Weird. Gotta have to math that out, but it's almost certainly a nerf mid and late game. Locket is still a nerf to me, becaue 150 gold isn't that long to farm ('cept for soloQ supports) and 100 HP can be a lot when talking about slot-efficiency. Meh Bulwark health nerf. I already feel kinda less tanky whenever I build it rather than "selfishly". Zephyr's cost-effectiveness is going to be through the roof with such a cost buff.

That Zephyr buff. Nnnnnnngh.

I'm trying to understand the Mimic change. From the tooltip it sounds like no matter what spell you cast you'll do 125/200/275 (+0.2 AP) damage with Mimic total. I'm inclined to believe that it's a tooltip mistype and that's supposed to be bonus damage.

Either that or they want it to make sense to mimic an ability you're not maxing first, but 125/200/275 is way too low if it's just flat damage.
Although 125 bonus damage at level 1 is too nuts too, so ...
For comparison, currently a maxed out mimic:distortion basically gives +132 (+.36/AP) bonus damage, including the mark detonation.

quinn is a solid champion. her range is short which makes her hard to lane against some champs, so i wouldnt pick her into anything. but...
1. she is probably the best ad duelist right now. If you can all-in engage on a similarly farmed ad carry you will win the trade no matter what. this is super situational but its something worth mentioning. in 2on2 situations everything looks different especially if there is a ton of burst around.
2. she fits super well in the current ad carry build shift, which favors getting a defensive item after boots and a major offense item like BT. Especially short ranged AD carries like graves, ez and vayne are being built less and less squishy now. Quinn being able to go into a steroid melee form fits better with a build like this.
3. AD carries allways get melee'd except their team is winning allready. Some of them are better at kiting than others. Some have kits that help 'em fight in close range like graves. Quinns answer is a melee steroid, a blind and an aoe finishing move.
Her kit looks very promising. She can do alot of stuff. She can't kite as well and she certainly can't poke as well as other ad carries but she gainst an interesting set of utility and insane steroids to assassinate out of position targets or stand up in melee range. seems legit to me.

So many changes
1. I approve of Taric having a scaling stun duration, will decrease his lane bully status. 2. Jarvan E nerf probably to further counter the no brainer jarvan+taric combo, probably good although I really like J4 jungle at the moment, base+Armor/Lvl buff in return. 3. Don't think singed needed these nerfs at all tbh and I don't even play him but never felt like he was op, just annoying. 4. Elise seems in a good spot during laning phase right now, don't understand further nerfs at all. Same for Garen, they already killed him with the 3.03 patch. 5. Why is lichbane getting more expensive and sheen cheaper? Triforce getting cheaper and cheaper, might be worth picking up again on champs like ezreal, irelia and jax.
|
Lichbane is made more expensive to reflect the decrease to Sheen's cost. Overall Lichbane will still cost the same.
They're updating the article (god RoG is always so friggin' laggy, my browser takes a dump everytime I charge their stuff), Zephyr is still has expensive, it's just using a pickaxe instead of the long sword, so it'll reduce the lull from having to save 1200 gold for the recipe. And CDR runes buffs across the board.

The thing about her trades is it is very reliant on landing Q, and half the time (at least to me) it seems like if you hit them at max range for your Q it won't count. Seems a bit clunky as well as with E, maybe we'll see some QOL buffs.

Clearly there are two options: 1. She's obviously a support. 2. Wait what a champ that doesn't fit the meta? Didn't people say exactly this about elise when she first came out and you can still play her anywhere!

Yeah, basically at some point (buffs helped with this) it went from "Elise is awkward everywhere" to "Elise is great everywhere"

The problem is she never needed buffs. People were already starting to dominate with her.

Can someone explain singed nerfs to me? Particularly the flip damage nerf (particularly the scaling).
|
Here's a discussion point for everybody.
I'm playing around with Ask Mr Robot and looking at item builds for Tristana. I was wondering how good Youmuu's worked into an item rotation. I did a standard ADC mastery setup with a full Armor Pen rune page.
What I found was that a build of IE, BotRK, LW, Youmuu's, does the most DPS in end game builds as long as the target has less than 400 armor, even when you tell it to not include active items. It outdamaged IE, BotRK, LW, PD.
It's surprising to me that the 20 ArPen on Youmuu would be so effective. Is Ask Mr Robot buggy? Or should we start investigating Youmuu's as a *gasp* legit item?

Riot sees singed as doing a bit too much damage for someone who's so incredibly tanky and hard to catch. Not the right nerfs for him IMO.

Removing the CC reduction from his ult seems like a wrong move to me, it's part of what makes the champ who he is. :/

Well, in LOL you need to do damage to be a tank. Plus Singed needs something to make up for his Pre-6 rubbishness.
