5 minutes later they were spewing obscenities at me because they'd died twice due to overextending top without a ward.

That's just Thresh, a jungler who isn't used much but otherwise fits the common, accepted paradigms for junglers. You should see the rage that jungle Akali/Karthus inspires if you're nothing short of Legendary by 10 minutes.

Got it with Taric jungle (which is really fun and surprisingly good), because I "didn't do enough damage". Got yelled at for not starting Mana Crystal in the jungle and having a Tear by the 5 minute point. Apparently having Taric's utility and being tanky as shit with decent jungle farm isn't considered good because you're not also one shotting the 4 kill Hecarim.

The only issue with playing non-standard junglers is that you'll get blamed way more than you do otherwise.

At least you can cite the EU LCS as a place where it's worked in pro play, random soloq ragers treat pro picks like the bible.

This is too true and good advice if he decides to try Nasus. It always cracks me up when I play with friends or my brothers.

I just got flamed pretty hard for daring to jungle olaf in S3. Yes he might have been nerfed a bit (or fixed, or rebalanced whatever) but he is still a fun champion to play. Considering that they had Lux, Kogmaw and Nunu already locked in, I felt justified in taking a diver who really can't be kited to death :p

Our top guy flipped out so hard that someone else dodged queue rather than play with him.... Sometimes I wonder about this community :p

I've had people question my building Bulwark..I was the support. I get into the most messed up games when I play with my friends. Clarity mids, no flash bottom lanes and all kinds of odd stuff. I've gotten used to it. Nothing shocks me anymore. I've even had people tell me that Bork was a bad item for Trist.. as I was killing them. *shrug*

People just blame unconventional junglers because it's easy. It's something different and people don't like different. In their heads it's easy to think "GOD DAMMIT IF YOU HAD JUST BEEN J4 INSTEAD OF THRESH WE WOULD HAVE HAD A DOUBLE KILL THERE."

To be fair I had a great jungle Taric game, couple early kills (so you could say if I had set them up for the laners things could have been different) but by the time 40 mins came around I didn't feel like I was doing more than support Taric :\

Also, this is why TL is so awesome, because we have people like Seuss and Yango and all the other creative, smart people (TROLLS etc.)

For the record, my bros/friends are actually decent players but very "sheepish" when it comes to following pro picks/builds. If you don't play Vi, J4, or Hec you get flak though. Snoozefest.

The specific amount of shit your are is actually a complex equation relating to how many kills you have, how many kills you "stole", how many times you ganked, how many times their jungler ganked, and if the lane is losing by themselves. This is, of course, modified by the "Apparent Knowledge Quotient", which is how much more about the game your laner claims to know than you do.

Allow me to go get a dry erase board, this may take some time.

I honestly have no idea how to make good use of Quinn's ult. I mainly play her top. It's a great steroid since W is on all the time, but if I go into melee range I get crushed and if I build Tanky I feel like I do no damage.

I've mainly been using it for the super sprint and execute, kind of like Rengar's ult but less useful. If you see them coming, there's very few things in the game that can catch you once you start to run. On the other hand, if someone is getting away, R-E-Q-R is pretty good killing power.

The AS steroid is kinda useless as you said, as you're generally not going to be tanky enough to stand in and fight.

Nothing worse than the "KS" crowd. I got a triple with Irelia with 3 straight reset Q's and our Graves says, "So greedy" like, WTF? The last 2 wouldn't have even died if I hadn't gotten the first Q=Kill.

When I tried Quinn mid in a TROLLS game I used Quinn's ult as a roaming tool. When there was a gank/counter-gank or some other brouhaha bottom and I arrived with time to spare on my ultimate and cleaned up nicely. I also used it a couple times to shove my lane, back, buy, and arrive in time to clear the very next wave without giving my opponent a chance to buy.

The next game they banned Quinn.

Honestly, unless it's something like an invade->catch somebody 1v5 or something equivalently hopeless, I'd rather the person die than make sure kills go somewhere. Even on something like taric or sona, if the support gets to the point where he's too tanky to harass, and too strong to allin, then bot lane wins anyways. Every time somebody dies, the advantage comes a lot more from what they lost than what you gained.
