It's a lot more fun when you get that in a promotion series so not only do you lose the LP but you have to get back into it all over again. I've only had the servers crap on me in champ select though so I get the dodge, would probably just be a loss after the game starts (still shitty though).

Yeah, I was four item Amumu at the 30 minute mark... so big. Liandries-Abyssal-Rylais-SorcShoes-Armguard mummy really fucking scary, by the way. All the things die in ten seconds, you tanky as hell anyway...

People used to say that she is bad because no gank potential (?) but as I watch pro stream I see more and more Soraka players in high ELO ranked games... You can pick Soraka against every enemy support, but you'll occasionally have problems against killing lanes like with a Blitzcrank, Taric, Thresh or Leona support if they're played correctly. About every other support is automatically getting outhealed, outsustained and outpoked. People underestimate Soraka's poking potential, which is safe and annoying at the same time. E+Banana, you'll always win the poke trades against any other ranged support with that. While it is true that Soraka has nothing to add to a gank, except for silencing a opponent when he wants to flash, Soraka wins against opponents like Lulu, Zyra, Nami, Zilean, Sona, Karma, Lux, Nidalee, Janna. The trick is not to play too passive, you basically have to use your E every 10 seconds, mostly by hurting opponents, occasionally you'll have a adc that uses a lot of mana like MF, then you'll have to use E a lot for giving them mana. Always tell your adc partners to use their mana for harassing the opponents. Pick Soraka if you see enemy supports like i mentioned, but don't worry about first picking her. You can harass champions like leona, thresh and taric very effectively every time their adc partner is occupied or out of position. If he can't follow up the grab/stun by killing you or hurting you badly, you'll always win the trade by healing up quickly afterwards. Due to the passive Soraka is strong against AP teams. She's also good against poke teams, as you can heal up the damage before the real battle happens. Be aware of top, mid and jungle fights, you'll often see situations where you're ulti can totally change the outcome of a fight and possibly snowball a lane. For items i reccommend going for both GP5 items early as well as the sight stone. The choice for big items is always depending on the situation you're having in the game, personally i prefer Locket of the Iron Solari, Aegis/Bulwark, Boots of Mobility.

It's nice having an extra MR aura that keeps your AD carry from losing 70% his health from a single spear. Thing is... if you're picking Soraka for the MR aura, you do have to stop and think about why you aren't picking Sona instead.

I feel like her ability to act as a battery for anyone on your team is somewhat underexplored in competitive games. Junglers, and to a lesser extent mid, should be able to be a lot more liberal with their mana usage as long as you create space for her to come infuse you, and this should be translating into faster damage items for mid or faster jungle clear. Plus, she can help the team win a LOT of objectives mid-game if they group, since you can take objectives left and right without wearing down and her armor buff negates helps tower diving immensely

I do love having volibear on my team, but last night I had a rammus on my team who was absolutely disgustingly good. I'd have to say that both of them are horrendously underplayed. They make it so easy to snowball lanes with ganks. Why do you think voli is so much worse than rammus? His execute and passive are awesome.

If you run HP seals/Quints and maybe armor reds with 9 in Defense (or 21 if you are really scared but I still think 21 utility is better at that point) you can actually be fairly tanky with perhaps the pickup of a Dorans shield or so. If you can position your Q harass correctly you will actually shut down any aggressive lane with poke because they will be a lot more cautious of all-inning when they are ~half hp and the Sona they want to all in on has the same health as a Taric.

That's easy, no one has run Rammus successfully in the LCS, unlike Voli. Public perception is Rammus has been bad for a while, a lot of people need to be shown he's not trash because they aren't going to randomly try him if they still think he's bad.

On sona I tend to go Philo>Doran's Shield>Sightstone just so you're tankier. I't what a lot of EU players I've been watching do on a lot of supports. well they were doing it, Krepo has kinda moved away from it rushing Aegis before anything sometimes and sightstone before philo almost always.

I tend to buy the Doran's shield before the Philo Stone - it's those early levels that are so vulnerable. I want to be in good shape to crush when Sona hits some really strong points at levels 5-6-7 and not have died to an all-in before then.
