Regardless of whether or not Karma could have been fixed with a few simple buffs I'm still excited for a brand new kit.

It's almost as much as Soraka's ult at level 18(granted Soraka's ult is global) and barrier(barrier has a shorter cooldown). I know there are a lot of ignites in the current meta but heal seems to be strong in anything other than a 1v1. Say you're in a big teamfight and your team has all taken a bit of damage (more than 440) and is clumped up. Then you use heal. Even if one target is ignited, you'll still heal close to 2000 hp worth of damage. Whereas for exhaust to reduce that much damage, you'd need to use it on someone who relied on autoattacks and who would have done 2000*(1/.5)*(1/.7)/2.5=2290~ damage per second post armor mitigation.(.5 is the attack speed reduction on exhaust. .7 is 1minus the damage reduction on exhaust. 2.5 is the duration of exhaust). I know real games are not so simple and ignite is more likely to let you snowball but I rarely snowball as it is.

It's mostly due to the scenarios you described, often times summoner spells are chosen to win lanes. And usually if someone forgoes Ignite it's usually for another summoner (Cleanse for ADC or Teleport for Top). Heal CD is also really long (90 more seconds then Exhaust and Ignite)

Why? You're basically choosing between the lesser of two evils--either you retain patch parity through the entire tournament, or you're running a really outdated patch by the finals. G-League even switching to S3 patch in the first place was a break with precedent compared to what they do for DotA/WC3. The whole root of the problem is Riot's fast patch cycles being awkward for tournaments that want to maintain parity throughout the entire tournament. This has traditionally not been a problem in Western tournaments because the mode of Western tournaments is generally one-week or one-weekend affairs--but Chinese/Korean/SEA tournaments are far more likely to follow a seasonal model, and its not their fault that Riot's patching paradigm is not accommodating to this.

I think, mostly, that despite people talking about the "Warmogs" or "Locket" metas this is still League of Cleavers, just without Black Cleaver. Burst damage Ala Khazix, Zed, or Lux really can take a non-tanky (not just squishy) target 100-0% or 100-33% depending on the time in the game.

Riot is still adjusting to this with the LCS. It's another possible reason they might have hotfixed BotRK instead of waiting for the next patch is so when we get to that patch on the Tournament Realm for the LCS games it's already changed and we don't have two weeks of LCS of the Ruined King.

it is just like comparing me and my boys playing a football game for fun to a game of bayern munich. we have no overall game plan or tactic. everyone plays his role to his best and we go with it, i havent watched any other NA teams and only a few european teams playing the last months but if thats the status of the scene these guys have to get off their rockstar life and start working or lol will have the same situation as sc2. in before "nyjacky wasnt playing" , "they were trying new stuff" , "it was just a scrim".... i know and i think i know how to weight those games but it was quite obvious what was going on.

As a huge Curse stream watcher; I can definitely tell you their communication in serious scrims is completely different than what we saw last night.

Liquid stopped playing pro for a LONG time already. He was just there as a place holder. Hmmm I get heal every time if I'm a ranged support that's going to have trouble reliably exhausting or if I have some significant damage myself(on Sona it's great). Lowbie supports don't get it but I see high elo supports getting it sometimes.
