Or everyone just buy armor, stand behind the enemy tower to stack their creep waves.

I feel I'm going to get blamed for "copying reginald" on soloqueue if I pick Xerath.

For one, Thresh is super durable against the build. Most of Tryndamere's damage is going to be physical for most of the game, which plays into your passive. Between that and your self-shield you're extremely durable, and because you're ranged you can kite him. Moreover, you can harass him with auto-attacks during the laning phase. Flay also interrupts spin, so you can block a lot of his damage or his escape during trades. The former dramatically reduces his damage, and the latter obviously screws him when he's trying to get away. Once you have some AD, souls, and ranks in Q it easily out-damages his self-healing. You can also hook Tryndamere to stun him (jump instantly so you can keep attacking him, the stun persists though you won't drag him around) and give yourself more time to attack him. The Box is great for both trapping him and kiting him, and can also set up a hook when he tries to get away. Don't bother with any attack speed items outside of Zerker's. Just build BT -> IE/BT -> LW -> Mercurial/Warmog's. You don't need to worry about his W for most of the game because he has to level that last to even be a threat. This is untested, but it seemed like it would be a difficult matchup for AP Tryndamere from the game I played (there were literally times where he chased me down when I had 1/3rd of my maximum health, and I either murdered him or he outright fled). Am I over analyzing the lane swap or is this bringing adcs back to the mid game power they once were?
